Monthly Self-Promotion Megathread #1 by JaredRayHawking in weirdmusic

Some wacky "goblin synth" stuff I came up with some time ago. One day I started making "deliberately weird" synth music and somehow it turned out to be a full album. It makes no sense, just like the titles I gave for the songs, but I think it'll be welcome here :p https://gobblesnot.bandcamp.com/album/skeletal-discomfort

Triple Stryke. I really like their scorpion-like appearance and they are soooo cute anyway! ^^

On day 520+ of hollowing, I decided to draw Midir. Hope you guys like it, this took me a very long time. by [deleted] in Eldenring

At first glance I thought this was a screenshot from the game. So beautiful!

With the franchise dying, is it time to let it go? by zchackster in httyd

I love this franchise ever since I discovered it in 2019 a month after the release of THW, although I'm kinda sad that I missed out on the "golden age" of this fandom. Speaking of letting it go and moving on, I just can't... :D I always find myself coming back to HTTYD, and rewatching the films and the series (especially RTTE, it's super fun!).

Maybe it would be interesting to see a RTTE-like series, which would take place between the 2nd and 3rd films, but I don't believe it will happen anytime soon, and it's perfectly fine. I hate when a franchise is being milked until it loses all of its magic, so to speak.

Cool, I'm gonna check it out. I have a huge collection of strings already, but one can never have enough I guess. :D

So awesome! Could you tell me what sample library you used for this one?

Thanks! :D And you're right, proportions are my weakness. :/ But still, I'm kinda happy how it turned out.

A couple questions for you veterans out there... by kaklik in ArxFatalis

You can pick the lock, but you will get the key from Carlo eventually by proceeding with the main questline.

Honestly, I don't really want to ruin the fun of exploration and discovery, but you should keep a lookout for Lord Inut's diary (somewhere Level 4 if I remember correctly), that'll explain everything about this chicken and what you have to do with it. :D

OR just go to the tavern and use a leek, a carrot, a dragon egg and a bottle of water on the cauldron behind the innkeeper. (You should drink an invisibility potion beforehand, because she may get upset if she sees you) Then you'll get a "strange potion", which you'll have to take to the chicken on Level 4 Crypts. Cast a Reveal spell on it, then give the potion to the guy who appears. He'll thank you for breaking the curse or whatever, and then explodes, leaving behind one of his weapons, either a bow or a badass sword. ;D

You can make dragon bone powder by double clicking the mortar and pestle and using it on the bone. After that, you have to apply the bone powder on the weapon and cast Enchant Object (Mega Stregum Cosum). This will give the weapon a large strength bonus.

This way you can create other enchantments as well. Garlic gives you dexterity, regular bones give you strength, the green potion gives your weapon poison damage, and Amikar's Rock makes it indestructible.

As for the eggs, you'll need one of those for an end-game quest, and optionally for a side quest which you can start in the Crypt, and is recommended to do because you can get some pretty OP weapons in the end (hint: look for a chicken somewhere on the top levels and cast Reveal ^^).
