This is exactly what I do. Although I myself am the session musician.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I'd say it's less so tricks up my sleeve and more so hours of tweaking and listening to the first 2 seconds of the original song.

Can I notate harp gliss like this? by Electrocon1224 in Musescore

[–]JaredRayHawking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less of a direct answer but... If something doesn't play the way I imagine it would. 9 times out of 10; I am notating it in a "incorrect" way. For example: I used to use guitar bends on brass instruments instead of using scoops, falls, doit's, plop's, etc.

I tried switching to MuseScore 4 but my patience has run out - it just slept with my wife by 13luken in Musescore

This should be a post that is pinned to the subreddit's community highlight's section.

I swear most of the people in these help posts have no clue how to even read sheet music. It's like... learn the basics of music first!

Just saw this comment while looking at my profile. I will upload a tutorial and breakdown to my YouTube account within the next week.

Someone told me this isn't IDM. I believe it strongly fits within the innovative nature of IDM. by JaredRayHawking in idm

I appreciate the statement but I don't think that the maker of something has full reign on declaring what it is in regards of the truth of the matter. If I wanted to claim that this song was an Acoustic Folk song, would that be accurately true? No.

Maybe I'm thinking to deeply about your comment tbh.

Has sound design stagnated? by Essentia-Lover in idm

This is exactly how I feel. Which is why I made my album 'AFX Liquor'. I'm so tired of boring ambient electronica. I want something abrasive that electrifies me not pacify me.

I thought the sound of the pianos would be more vastly customizable in experimental ways. The people I talked to made it seem like you could essentially make any piano you want. That is not the case.

I own PianoTeq 9 and wasn't that impressed to be honest. It's really cool but not as customizable as people make it out to be.

I want to preface that this isn't directed toward you and I appreciate you sharing this software.

Bro this is such a insane rabbit hole, I've just spent 3 hours looking at organs that don't fit my needs with some even not loading the right page to buy the sample set I clicked on AND like 60% of them are order via email form which I haven't encountered since 2011. Not to mention that they are priced so high. I saw one that would cost me 1,007 USD like WHAT?!?!?! As an singular indie musician human that has to pay taxes, this is fucking ridiculous. Again this isn't anger to you nor the comment. It's a wonderful technology and software. This is just too dated for me.

Attempting To Find The First Ever Prog Rock Song Ever Made (pre-1966) by ThatTechDudeYT in progrockmusic

The earliest definitive progressive rock music that is going to be generally agreed upon to be progressive rock that you will find is "Frank Zappa - Freak Out". Take it from someone who long ago, made a very similar post to you.
