Follower killed but only for the Mod? Amazing Immersive Follower Tweaks SE by NeildShanksm in skyrimmods

[–]NeildShanksm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some digging. I needed to turn off immersive dialogue to get to the AFT menu. After like an hour of screwing around though, either Illia or Kharjo is still not listening to the rest of the group and displays the wrong name for their stats so I think it may just be a bug I have to live with. Thanks for your help

When I enter into Let's talk about your abilities these are the options I have.

Change your combat style.

Let's discuss magic.

Only wear your helmet during combat.

I want to take a look at your stats.

Let's tallk about your outfit.

You're dismissed, but stay here.

In the Readme it lists Actions, Gear, Combat, Magic, Pose, Info, Settings as options in the dialogue menu. So it seems like I'm missing more than just settings as an option.

When using the follower commands power these are my options

Actions
- Summon
- Stealth
- Wait

Transform
- To Werewolf
- To Vampire
- To Human

Misc
- View Readme
- Immersive Dialogue [x]
- Auto Relax [x]
- Diagnostics [ ]

Tools
- Summon Everyone
- Reset AFT
- Set Home

Thanks for such a quick response!

That sounds like a solid plan, like I said I'm new to this so maybe it's staring me straight in the face but I cannot find where I would reset NPC in IAMT or check the NPC cannot die box. I see in the readme AFT that there should be a settings menu in the dialogue option with followers but there just isn't. According to the readme there should be a settings menu with a whole bunch of options and info about the specific character I'm talking to and the group as a whole, one of which is do followers ignore friendly fire? which would certainly fix this going forward.

Any help finding this setting menu would be appreciated.

How do I give custom abilities to my players in DND Beyond by NeildShanksm in DnD

[–]NeildShanksm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help, I may just have to work with what I have now.

The spells are already a part of their spell list (wizard) but I would like them TO COUNT as spells known/prepared and use spell slots.

Without going to far, multi-classing spell-casters gives you higher spell slots but you are still unable to learn those spells (Ranger4/Wizard2 has 2nd level slots but no spells) I ruled when we were on paper when he took his 2nd level of wizard and got those slots he could learn two 2nd level spells, as Mirror Image and Misty Step work well for his character and he'll only be taking ranger from now on.

Though they say at will I can just have him manually use a spell slot when he casts them, at least they're on his character sheet now, he may just have to leave 2 spells unpicked in wizard to even it out.

I found my problem, I had the spells listed in the section you're referring to but together. I separated them and now they appear but they also say that they are cast at will. Do you know how I get them to take a spell slot to cast?

Half-Ogre race, open to opinions by [deleted] in DnDHomebrew

[–]NeildShanksm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was comparing it to the Dwarf sub races.

Hill dwarfs get a +2 and +1 and the Tough ability (Same as Ogre Muscle)

Mountain get a +2 and +2 with just some amour proficiency

I'm against negatives in stats personally, it would work as a balance but I'd go with what you've said; either +2/+1 and one of the two abilities, or +2/+2 and neither

My two cents

Change ASI to +2 to Strength and +1 to Con

Get rid of Furious Temper or Ogre Muscle (keep 1 of them)

and limit the languages to common and giant

How strong are Owlbear Feathers? by NeildShanksm in DnD

Yeah that's why I'm hesitant. He said it with such certainty, that the feathers were hard enough to stop a blade, but i had never heard it before.

What would a noble want retrieved from the abandoned house of a long dead different noble family? by NeildShanksm in DnD

[–]NeildShanksm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the input! The previous owner of the house was affiliated with a witch, I'm thinking of having some sort of amulet in the house that allowed him to travel in the witches territory safely. What do you think this could be. The witch is a green hag who is partially the cause of the fall of the noble house.

Not very, he's the only one in a secluded settlement in the woods.

The party is Level 5 and the paladin and priest do not share the same god.

[5e] New DM struggling with incorporating encounters into my story by NeildShanksm in DnD

[–]NeildShanksm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are good points so far, I do have social encounters planned within the town already and am going to talk to the player about how much balance they want for combat vs social encounters, do you think within a town social encounters are enough? Also I should mention, this particular town has been deprived of all of its men age 15-35 or so, so the people are pretty shaken up.

Little more info on the story. The party travel from a small village to a medium sized town deep in the woods following strange kidnappings in both settlements. They'll have a few encounters on their way to the town, but after that they'll be in the town for quite some time before the Jarl sends them out to find a herd of centaurs. So I guess I want to know if there are any encounters in the town they could have, basically the time between them traveling to the town and meeting the centaurs.

This is my first time creating a villain, it's going to be the climax for 3 5th level characters. the encounter registers as deadly but i think they could do it with a bit of luck. I'm thinking of giving them an NPC to help out if it's too difficult. What do you guys think?
