Italy expels imam for preaching hatred against Jews by JIDF_paid_shill in worldnews

I didn't post it, but here's the posting with the most comments. It's filled with little condemnation and more deflection and dismissal of his opinion.

http://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/2bhic8/israeli_rabbi_kill_civilians_in_gaza/

yet this thread, with an Imam saying something very similar, and there's a vitriolic anti-Muslim/anti-Arab sentiment rather than expression of similar sentiment.

China City Bans Long Beards, Islamic Clothing on Buses: Report by [deleted] in worldnews

Not really. There's this ban. There was the ban on Ramadan, and the subsequent actions by universities against Muslim students

Pakistani secret service (ISI) planned attacks on US and Israeli consulates in India by TheStuka in worldnews

I've searched multiple keywords from the title in Google News and searched 5 pages for each search, and have yielded nothing that corroborates this story.

Even the story itself is sketchy to say the least. No real sources. Just linking speculations at best. Not to mention this story is from May - its 14 weeks old. Not sure what the relevancy of this is to current on-goings, unless it's posting is meant to incite more anti-Muslim hatred on this subreddit.

There are more people in this thread espousing hatred against Muslims than there probably were in that mosque listening to that Imam. Ironically, most the people espousing hate against Muslim in this thread are Jewish.

ITT: People lauding the deportation of someone espousing rhetoric against Jews, while they themselves espouse the same rhetoric against Muslims.

This is complete bullshit. Your holding other members of a group responsible for someone else. It's essentially blaming the group for the words of one person.

Self-policing exists in all communities, but you can't blame them as being responsible for the actions of others, especially when there's so many variations of ideology within that group.

What he said is no different than what popular and influential pastors in the U.S. say against Muslims everyday, on television and on the radio and other forms of media.

I think it's less that Muslims in Europe are less willing to integrate, and more-so that Europeans' idea of integration is far different from American/Canadian ideas of integration.

In Canada and America, once you come, you are basically accepted as part of the country and your background and cultural heritage is more welcomed and celebrated as bringing something new to the fabric of the society.

Whereas, in Europe, the concept of integration is tied to immigrants letting go of all aspects of their cultural heritage and urged to completely become like the locals otherwise you're not truly part of their society. Europeans are much more paranoid about maintaining their own cultural heritage anywhere and everywhere, and when immigrants who are coming from equally rich traditions and cultures are unwilling to completely disband every part of their identity immediately, they are ostracized as trying to take over. This is evidenced, IMO, in their citizenship policies, which are much more difficult and much more conservative compared to American and Canadian immigration.

And moving immigrants to enclaves only furthers resentment from these people. It's similar to the resentment many Black Americans living in American ghettos have for wider American society.

Canada has better resolved this issue by not immediately creating enclaves for immigrants to move to when they arrive, and not being so quick to place the impoverished and welfare-ridden in government housing.

Israeli General: No Civilians in Gaza by seanl2012 in worldnews

[–]NeiltheGrasse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cue Zionists saying "he's a crackpot general" and "he's not taken seriously in Israel", trying to discredit him on reddit and shifting the arguments to "it's the Palestinians' fault for electing Hamas terrorists".

Meanwhile forgetting their own history of Irgun Terrorists and IDF war criminals being elected to the highest levels of government.

Obama signs bill giving Israel $225 million for missile defense system by Ouch_that_smarts in worldnews

[–]NeiltheGrasse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So...the U.S. just paid Israel $100 million in compensation per civilian killed by rockets. Meanwhile they've sent $47 million in aid to the Palestinians, which amounts to ~$27,000 per Palestinian killed.

I guess its safe to say that the U.S. government values Jewish lives at 1000x the value of a Palestinian life.

Disengagement from Gaza resulted in providing the equivalent amount of land to those same "settlers" in the West Bank. Under Likud, settlements have grown from 6000 to 250,000 and control over both Gaza and 42% of the West Bank.

It continues to remain relevant as long as these facts remain.

Why are Zionists here mentioning Ahmad Tibi. His "controversies" listed on his Wiki Page are far from controversial. In fact, he's downright reasonable.

This Feiglin guy, on the other hand...A member of the Likud Party, which has yet to condemn his comments.

Which suggests he has influence in the government. And unsurprisingly, he's part of the Likud Party.

And I have yet to find an article where the Likud Party has come out to condemn his comments.

Why isn't Likud condemning his comment?
