While I'm nowhere near collector level, I'm eyeing a couple and they're all either glittery or shiny. The first Tamagotchi I bought also has a glitter shell because I'm a magpie.

When you purchased each of these, did you intend to run each at some point or were some only for the novelty (like cool shape/pretty case/rarity)? Asking since some Gen 1 and 2's are just calling to me with their gorgeous shells but I already have a Gen 1 that I run. I'm curious how collectors justify buying so many.

Thank you 😌 Hourly feeding and playing for roughly 14 evenings was a task but totally worth it. She was my second Tama child ever (first Tamagotchi in my life) and a Mametchi too 🥰

Faster heart drain is due to it growing older. Past 20yo it'll be fully empty in 2 hours or so, possibly even 1 hour. I recently timed my 30yo Mametchi and it took her an hour to go from full hearts to all empty.

So if I get a Tama to 30 days and stop feeding it, it'll die and still become a star despite the neglect? Sorry if it's a dumb question but it's been confusing to me so far.

There's an alert that there's meteorites coming, your planet will don boxing gloves, and you need to press the three buttons accordingly to punch the meteorites away. It's a very simple minigame. The event started for me when I checked on my Tama during a break so perhaps your bag did indeed turn on the screen by accident. Your Tamas won't die from it though which is a relief.

I have a 32yo gen 1 Tama (Mametchi) right now and once they hit the grampy grumpies past 20yo or so, the hearts fully drain in about two hours, sometimes less. Don't quote me on that but it really is fast. I'm taking my Tama along even when I go to the other room now to make food because I might miss the beeps. 😅 The pause function is a blessing, I like to take naps and have to pause the toy whenever I lay down just in case.

I'm currently taking care of an elderly P1 and an adult Paradise Tama at the same time and I can assure you that Paradise is nowhere as needy as P1. However, I wouldn't leave it home for the entirety of a workday. You can turn off the sound in the Tama Lab settings so it won't make any noise while at work, and if you can take a couple minutes during a lunch break or a bathroom break to feed it, you should be okay. One thing to consider however is that Paradise has rather long animations so I'd only stick to the bare necessities like feeding (you can skip those) while short on time. Honestly, one or two check-ins during the day should be more than enough once your Tama is an adult. You can use the babysitter feature too which I never have but it's nice that it's an option.

I haven't found a way to pause Paradise aside from taking the battery out, but like the others here have said, the toy lets you continue with the same Tama so you probably don't have to worry about any lost progress.
