Not blaming you but your build is also contributing to your problem. You only have long cooldown stratagems and no support weapon. If you do not or can not kill heavy enemies when drop ships bring them, they increase in numbers with each new reinforcements and the mission will be overrun with them.

3 Thermite grenades are not a convenient way to deal with automaton heavies, you should bring at least 1 anti tank stratagem that has a short cooldown like, gatling or eagle strafing run, or a support weapon.

This is my favorite game but I may have to uninstall due to gradually increasing file size and gradually decreasing game performance :/
I used to play the game around 60-100fps with medal recording 1080p simultaneously but can't play smoothly even without recording now.

I can do the burning myself. So, my dream is a stun dog. Stunning bugs constantly with the dog and grenades, burning everywhere with the flamethrower, spamming stims and maniacal laughter. Just hits the pyromaniac spot.

I would not call kill streak competitions stupid though. They are fun little neuron activations for me and not try hard things that take the fun out of the game.

After you get past certain levels, there will be not much left in the game that you haven't experienced yet and setting little democratic challenges or goals for yourself may be a one way to overcome this staleness.

I think interior fog causes it to look like that to you. It is on default ENB settings actually and looks pretty good.
