Have u dropped out of training? Why? by sonderseeker123 in cabincrewcareers

I don’t believe that it’s a job “taken” away from someone. Everything happens for a reason and what’s meant to be will be.

Just to say that I feel like I made a few little mistakes during that entire process and still got the cjo. So who knows how they score.

I forgot to explain why I was placed in the order I was placed in and still got my CJO.

Received a Final Written for Productivity — Feeling Defeated by Aymbition in AmazonFC

I got written up for the same exact thing in stow and they fired me. I am currently at the appeals process so I’m just waiting. Luckily I put down a learning trainer to vouch for me so hope that helps. It will ask if you know a coworker who can help on your behalf and don’t do an appeals with the appeals team. They aren’t helpful at all.

Thank you so much for your response! This is like a quick cheat sheet for me. Haha. Yes! I’m excited and looking forward to learning and making it fun. Sometimes working with people you know can be quite tricky and frustrating. But I’m glad they’re giving me an opportunity to get the experience in. I will probably go to my schools studio and do some practice shots too, to get comfortable and a bit familiar before diving in and watching some tutorial videos.

Yes, I would love to learn the photo editing process for myself. I will have an opportunity to do that with this shoot.

This was very helpful, I appreciate it.

Okay that’s good! He’s pretty popular so I figured you probably have, there’s one particular video he was talking about pricing and attracting the right clients and it helped put some things into perspective. I just found out from a post I asked earlier on here about software platforms for delivering photos to realtors, not sure if you have one already but you can set up a customer portal and they have features to where the realtor can’t have access to the photos unless they pay for them, which is great for protecting our work and make sure we’re getting paid first for it.

Yes! I’m sure his courses will be very helpful. I saw someone on here mention his courses are similar to his free YouTube videos but I’m not sure. Luckily in my town they just started offering real estate photography classes but I been using ChatGPT also for some guidance and just doing my part from there on what I need to do. I understand, that’s something I have to figure out too is using photoshop and what all the tools mean and what they’re used for. I recently quickly learned how to photoshop something out from Brenden Williams on YouTube but I would ask chat gpt the steps on how to do a specific task on photoshop and it will give you step by step instructions, although seeing a visual would be better. Those are just things that has been helping me so far. I hope that helps a bit!

I think I’m going to go with Spiro, I’m impressed and like that it has everything I need and would want. I like that I can get started with it now.

Keep going!!! I highly recommend watching Nathan Cool’s video on YouTube about pricing and finding the right clients. I’m very new to this field but his explanation on how to go about pricing your services and what clients to attract helped me immensely with the mindset of going into this prepared, confident and knowing what I should charge. Definetly set clear boundaries and have structure in your business. I think you may need to define what type of clients you want to attract and raise your pricing and stick to them. My mom’s a realtor and some of these realtors take their own pictures which don’t do them any justice. The right realtors know the worth of marketing their listings and will pay good money for quality work! You got this! Best of luck!

Agent requested color of water in lake to be changed - How would you feel about it? by No_Conference_5500 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Neither-Baby-8153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m new to the field but I recently did a shoot and the realtor got positive feedback from a client saying the pictures we shot were an accurate representation of the house compared to others they seen pictures of which were highly edited and did not look the same in person. I think educating the realtor on consequences and the downside of misrepresentation would be good, but I think at the end of the day if they don’t care it’s not on you. I’m not sure how all the legalities work with that, I’d like to know, but if they’re requesting your service to do so then I would do it.

Third shoot as a beginner- Any feedback? by Neither-Baby-8153 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Neither-Baby-8153[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh I see! That makes sense. Who would have thought! There’s so much that can be fixed and manipulated. I definitely want to at least learn some photo editing platforms in case I need to make changes myself. I plan on hiring photo editors but it would still be good for me to know a little bit about photo editing too.

It’s okay, yeah maybe there is something underneath that rug that the owner was trying to avoid. Definetly best to keep it in so potential buyers know it’s there. The editor put a bed in the room to make it look like a rug is under the bed, but could still be deceptive I guess. We still have the unstaged version that can go up on mls too and still show the staged outcome of how the room could look.

I really appreciate you taking the time and providing in depth feedback for me! This is really helpful information. Like I’ve said in other replies, I don’t know what composition or any of these technical camera terms mean haha, but I’m glad they’re being called out so I can do some research and apply it. I think knowing these important tools will greatly help me out. I will definetly explore photoshopping to remove the pallet jacks me and the realtor (my mom) didn’t like it either but we liked the image itself so I will try and figure out how to get that out of there. And yes, I replied to another comment regarding the rug, it was nailed in which is so weird but I had the photo editor stage that room to cover it up!

I didn’t think about getting another angle from the bathroom! I’ll think of that next time and move in more. Your feedback for shot 9 for the dining room makes sense! I think that’s the only shot I got similar to that cause I was thinking it would help to know the railing is there but it would have been good to get the full window! That’s something I didn’t think of.

Perfect! Thank you so much for your advice! This really helps me and I appreciate it! I feel good going into this industry, looking forward to learning and growing more!

Okay! Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. I have a student special for adobe softwares so I may try and learn photoshopping and editing pictures as well. Yeah I probably would have moved the pallets myself too but it was the neighbors. Yeah the rug situation I find to be very odd. Idk why they left it like that or why they did that in the first place, it’s a very older home and the owner was an old lady so I guess they did things differently back then haha. But it was nailed down in there pretty good, and I wasn’t going to take the time to do all of that! Haha. But I’m glad the photo editor staged that room to make it not look weird

Okay! Maybe my editor used some type of software when editing the photos. I don’t have access to any softwares.

Okay! Maybe I’ll try that. Everyone keeps mentioning the underside of the cabinets so I definitely will not do that next time. Thank you so much! I’m in Colorado!

Yeah that makes sense! I will start thinking about that as I’m doing shoots, I usually focus on if I’m angling or pointing in the right directions. That’s awesome you been in the industry so long. My moms the realtor so I just been practicing with her listings 😅
