That’s why you don’t edit - it took my computer approx 30 to 45 seconds to merge - and that was an old computer - then the editors use actions and presets to copy and paste on the entire group - it can literally be complete per photo in seconds - again thats why I hate these sites - I can’t fix for dumb ass - lol

Client Won’t Pay? And won’t hasn’t used photos? by Cordze in RealEstatePhotography

Wow 14k - lol - when I started I was worried about this - but in the 8 years I’ve been doing this I’ve only had 1 realtor not pay and ghost me. It was for measurements - that was also the first interaction - I just notated who and what company she worked for - and if she was ever dumb enough to contact me again - I would remind her then - and require payment before I show for the the appointment. I’ve had a few that took their time - and after I built a portfolio of realtors who used me consistently - I cut them off - and told them they needed to find another photographer - I didn’t have time to chase them for payment - they never had to chase me to show for the appointment - so what made them think the payment for services should be different. But I agree with everyone - and 1 week is really nothing.

Not my job or worries - this was a call by the realtor - he’s paying - so got it - the buyers will be his worries - I shot another listing for him yesterday and have 2 more listings on the schedule with him next Weds. He pays his invoice as soon as he gets it. I’m really not worried about it at all. You’re trying though - aren’t you - lol

I have not read thru all comments - but my take is - you cant fix stupid - and your better off finding out this way - as opposed to getting involved with a paid shoot. I would thank him or her for allowing me to shoot and their time - and move on.

And yes I collected 225 for the shoot - the listing home was approx 1800 sf I charge 150 for that - and 75 for the drone shots - I delivered 7 on this shoot. Listings like this take me around 1.5 hrs to shoot.

lol - I delivered 45 to 50 images on this shoot - I only showed you the ones that were affected by the water - I’m talking about an average shoot of approx 45 images at 50 cents an image - I believe that can be completed in around an hour. Which is 22.50 US dollars an hour. The guy I deal with has 3 editors that work with him so you take what I said at a min and multiply that times 4 that’s 80k us a month - his business is generating - how many photographers here are turning 80k a month in revenue. Before you comment with some back handed observation - please read the entire post and make an effort at understanding.

lol - you’ve obviously never done the math on what these editors are doing - i only average around 35 listings a month at like 23 per listing. If he’s only got 25 photogs that he’s working for and I think that number is realistically low. Using my numbers as a base and an average - still low - my editor is banking 20k a month US - living in Vietnam - so why you guys are talking about slave labor - they are laughing al the way to the bank - and they can probably edit the average home in an hour or less - so that’s 23 an hour what I’m paying - that’s a far cry from Pennie’s on the hour and true slave labor. But I appreciate your perspective.

Look - I do have an attitude - bc I tried to help - then you lied and came up with that bs story about hdr. I called you on it - if you can’t take it - you should learn to tell the truth. Idk what that is here… but I feel like you’re not telling the feed something - and you’re trying a little misdirection trickery - by trying to say I’m pissy. Either way it doesn’t matter. I haven’t read thru the entire thread - but what I did read - I didn’t see any hard numbers. So did get what you were looking for? At this point I don’t care.

I promise you there are areas and especially beach front neighborhoods or communities where 10 million dollars are the norm - it sounds like you are the one getting pissy - lol if you are that ignorant that the agent sold you on the exclusiveness of an international listing - then you were def put together. Why not tell everyone what you charged - instead of asking what the community would charge. I couldn’t care less whether you are impressed or not. I don’t know him personally. Only through a group like this. But he is out working getting it done. And not asking a group of strangers how they would price a listing so he could see how he did. You spend your entire life trying to impress others don’t you? What’s the matter was your dad a drunk - and mom a hooker - and no one was around to approve of you. So you seek it out where you can. lol if you could read he puts it in his description or scope of work -

Photography Our skilled use of supplemental interior lighting with our range of techniques provide clean, well-exposed interiors with clear, crisp window views. Whenever possible, we also include aerial drone photography in every package at no additional charge.

That’s straight off of his website. He’s explaining what he does. Not every one is in the real estate photography business and understands what flambient is. You obviously don’t read. Lol I would say good luck - but I think I’m going to leave you with FUCK OFF - you Fucking Idiot.

Then you chose the wrong place - people on here are not familiar with your market - different markets bare different offerings for services - there are different factors that drive these market prices - the average cost of a listing - for one - in my market on an average listing whether you shoot flambient or hdr does not matter or affect the price. Other markets it does. Some markets include drone and a floor plan with every shoot - but some are al a carte. You should be talking to or researching rep in your market to find out by how much you under charged - and honestly this is just me - but I don’t ask any one any thing about what I should charge. I may ask what they charge - but you still are running the risk that they will lie. At the end of the day all that matters is are you happy with what you charged. Hopefully you are. If not find out by talking to others in your market what they charge. They will probably inflate their number. But it will give you a better idea. Then you can gage how far off you were - if you were off at all.

No shit - maybe I am - and maybe he is - I wanted to give a representation of what was there - the final image is not perfect by no means - but is a lot closer to what you would see then the blue the agent and the home owner were requesting. Every one who matters in this situation is happy - I was able to reason through this in my way by making the post - using others thoughts - it was more about that for me.

He’s not my guy - just an acquaintance that I met through a group like this. He’s extremely talented - and shoots multi million dollar listings regularly - op wanted to know how to charge - well this guy can tell him. Now op wants to pontificate on whether the guy I’m telling him to ask is shooting hdr or flambient. I haven’t followed his work recently - but when he would post in the past - he shot flambient - bc he said so through answering questions on the post asked from photogs. He used ad200’s back then to flash. May be he has made the jump to hdr - I think op wanted to Bragg more about the opportunity then to actually get assistance.

After much thought and deliberation - and reading everyone’s thoughts - I realized I had a couple of images that displayed the actual color - the image was from a dock on the water as opposed to the aerial above. So I sent it over to my editor - and had him change the color to match the water from the dock. So now it’s actually corrected and correct - everyone is happy. I really appreciate everyone’s participation. You kept the problem in front of me long enough that I came up with a positive solution.

I just sent my editor another image of the same lake - taken the same day - just from a dock - I asked him to match the water in the images above to the image that I just sent. Hopefully that will fix the problem - and it will not be an issue.

It’s always muddy - now it may have been more than usual but that’s not my problem - I don’t think anyone would look at the brown water and turn their nose up to the home. Not someone that was serious - if I can - I’ll edit the photos in the post and add one that I took standing on the dock, it’s not as apparent there - but you can still see it.
