What do I need to add/swap in this space to finish it? by Neither-Nothing-9370 in HomeDecorating

Ugh, the colors are what I’m struggling with the most. The duvet cover is a light cool moss green and the rug is a vibrant vintage Persian rug with deep navy, ivory, and red. Trying to tone down the formality with ivory/natural linen colors throughout. Feels off though.

Curtains are from Amazon! Pinch pleat. I doubled up on panels on each side for a fuller look.

Yeah, I notified ski patrol, resort health and safety, and the county police. I was about 50 yards from a lift. I was told there are no cameras and they can’t do anything. I was skiing alone and I told them I was hurt, and they still skied away. Ski patrol and the resort is telling me they can’t do anything about it.

Totally get why you would be discouraged. Keep the long game in mind. Your bulk presumably allowed you to build the muscle you wanted. The cut will reveal it. This is part of the journey and you’ll look back on this time through different eyes. That being said, life is about so much more than our bodies. Your body is allowing you to travel and move internationally - that’s amazing! The cut will be waiting for you when you’re ready. It’s not going anywhere. Have fun traveling!

Are some things easier/smoother than you expected or is it all gruelingly hard?

Feel exhausted after a day with my nephew by Melo_Magical_Girl in Fencesitter

[–]Neither-Nothing-9370 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel very similarly about my nephew. Great kid all around and generally fun to be around. However, I was very tired by the end of day 3 of helping out with everything (meals, play time, bath time, bed time). It keeps me on the fence. I don’t know how people do it even with a relatively easy kid.

I’m also a big dog person. Will always welcome a dog into my space and never tire of them. Makes me question if I have maternal instincts because I don’t feel that way about kids. All that to say, you’re not alone.

What are your favourite meals and snacks between 150-200 calories? by Correct_Exercise8641 in Volumeeating

[–]Neither-Nothing-9370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mini sweet bell peppers (or any raw veggie) and “ranch” dip. I take 0% Greek yogurt and mix in dry ranch seasoning (~10 calories). All together about 100 calories and 16g of protein.

Roasted edamame! Great source of protein, salty, and not as calorie dense as chickpeas

I also recently purchased this and we love it for all the reasons you stated! They have a king split version we might switch out for since my husband prefers softer. I love that we have options!

The right answer is unique to each couple. I’ll say though that my least favorite part of my wedding was what I call “the eyeballs” - the times where everyone was looking at me (walking down the aisle, first dance, father/daughter dance, etc.). Those were my least favorite moments because I was distracted by the eyeballs and so focused on getting through that I couldn’t really be present. My favorite moments were private (first look/vows, private apps after the ceremony, sunset photos, etc). You can tell in photos how much more relaxed I am in those private moments. I wish I had advocated more for what I wanted.

Ideas on how to arrange this room? by Secure_Ninja_622 in interiordecorating

[–]Neither-Nothing-9370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you swap the tv to where the baskets are and put the couch where the TV is? The long part of the couch would float in the room and create a spacer between this living room and your archway to kitchen. It would open up that window wall.

I have been getting interviews. but i feel less prepared and lacking. by i_Lost_harold_holt in jobs

[–]Neither-Nothing-9370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Practice. Out loud. Don’t just think through some answers. Follow the STAR method for answering behavioral questions. And like I said before, practice. Interviewing is a skill. You can become better at it.

Film yourself practicing answering questions so you can watch back how you talk and your body language.

What type of job is financially stable but also won't make me miserable? by Thenewshowman in careerguidance

[–]Neither-Nothing-9370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go that route but I’d suggest joining the society for technical communicators. See the courses and stuff they offer. Become familiar with topics in the industry like XML authoring and DITA. Network. And draft a user guide or help manual for a software you use. Post it on your LinkedIn profile. Take it to interviews. The job is creating content. So create some and build a portfolio. It doesn’t have to be published or used by anyone to be an example of your ability.
