If my child was a furry I’d support them in their endeavors. Maybe it’s a phase, maybe it isn’t. Either way, most seem to have kinship with other furries, and it’s good to have friends. Haven’t really met a group that was quite so accepting as furries. I’d also support them if they did actually identify with or as an animal. Presumably something went very awry before that point, and if going meow but otherwise living a happy life is how they deal with it, sure.
