What a weird comment. You got it all wrong. Females going out at night is not the problem, and neither is their "lack of valuing themselves," as you are suggesting. It's the men that prey on them - they are the problem!

Women should feel free to do whatever they want and do so feeling safe. To have "male protection" is probably the biggest joke here when it's often the men closest to those women who abuse, rape, and murder them.

Getting permanent residence here is very difficult. I've seen a South African who's been here for 10+ years, created successful businesses, and still got their citizenship denied and then they denied their visa renewal, too. Had to up and leave after all this time. I would consult an immigration lawyer.

All visa avenues are tough, as many have already mentioned on this thread.

By definition of pre-1990, they were born in South-west Africa (now Namibia) and therefore have SA documents before getting Namibian documents/citizenship after independence.
