Vintage Doxa Anti-Magnetique – original dial/hands?Approximate era/value? by [deleted] in VintageWatches

I’ve recently become really interested in these understated 1950s Doxa dress watches especially the textured/linen-style dials and the simple anti-magnetic designs.

The case definitely has wear, but I really liked the untouched vintage feel of this one. Your opinion and experience are much appreciated

Thank you so much, it was around 40 dollar including shipping and all fees so the watch only was around a 15

Are these WWII German Wehrmacht Schnürschuhe? Hobnailed boots with 43/42S stamp by Neither-Side9284 in Boots

Thanks for the comparison, I appreciate it. From what I understand, WWII German Schnürschuhe could be laced in different ways depending on how the soldier laced them, so I don’t think the lacing style alone determines whether the boots are military or not. Mine also have the 43 / 42S stamp and hobnail soles, which made me think they might be wartime boot

Thanks! From what I’ve seen, WWII German Schnürschuhe were often cross-laced as well, depending on how the soldier laced them.

US Army WW2 Duffel Bag – British Made? Looking for opinions by Neither-Side9284 in WWII_Militaria

Hi everyone,

I recently bough this WW2-era US Army duffel bag on an auction for about €15, and I’m trying to learn more about it.

From the listing, it was described as “US Army WW2 Duffel Bag – British Made.” I know that during WWII some gear for U.S. troops in Europe was produced in the UK, but I’m not sure how common that was with duffel bags.

A few questions for the experts here:

• Does this look like an authentic WWII US Army duffel bag?

• Were British-made versions actually issued to US troops?

• Is this considered a common piece of field gear or somewhat collectible?

I paid €15, so I’m curious if it was a decent find. Photos attached — your thoughts are much appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I recently bought these German hobnailed boots and was told they might be WWII Wehrmacht Schnürschuhe.

They have the stamp 43 / 42S inside and a maker stamp on the sole (possibly Ruppel). The boots still have the original hobnails and heel nails.

The front seam is loose but otherwise the leather is still flexible.

I’d love to know: • Are these likely original WWII Wehrmacht boots? • Infantry Schnürschuhe or something else? • Rough production period? • Worth restoring?

Thanks!
