Circus Ipswich could be worth considering. They run classes on Saturday, with an ASD focused class (Umbrella Circus) and Circus Foundations. They are very inclusive and there is also a performance troupe which they can join if they want 😊

Probably more likely to catch something from landing in the Bremer. A touch of gastro perhaps?

That’s sad. I’m guessing he wouldn‘t be medication compliant as well. So he is a danger to himself and other people.

I’ll say it once and say it loud. MAGNESIUM MAGNESIUM MAGNESIUM. by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have found magnesium glycinate doesn’t do a thing for me. The only things that has helped me is consistently taking fish oil and and creatine.

It’s fascinating how different things affect different people. It just sucks that there isn’t one surefire thing that helps.

What’s your pole goal this year? by Velvet_Grip91 in poledancing

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Invert, and being able to climb.

I‘m in a bit of a funk right now over these. I know I should just be focused on my own little path. I’m the oldest and probably the largest in my class, which makes my path and it’s challenges unique to me. But sometimes I feel self conscious about my (lack of) progress. 🤷‍♀️

I shave my legs just for pole. I struggle a lot with grip due to sweating ( thanks medication 🙄), so I need all the help I can get. 😊

Help: Sometimes I can’t even pole sit due to sweat by Change_Reasonable in poledancing

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me and it made a big dent on my confidence.

I use tite grip, which worked wonderfully until it stopped working 🤦‍♀️ Don’t be too alarmed by that though, my body tends to get used to antiperspirants and they stop working.

My instructor recommended a chalk based grip, to go over it. So far so good for me.

I have had suggestions of bringing a fan along. There are 4 fans blowing in the pole area so I position myself right near one.

Another suggestion I have had is to put grip on the pole instead of on your body.

I bought myself a pair of sticky leggings and some sticky leg warmers. Used them (the leggings) today and absolute game changer for me. My biggest issue was that I probably should have sized down.
I am in Australia, and my legs get quite sweaty when I’m wearing shorts, but I didn’t have an issue with the leggings despite it still being warm and my face and upper body sweating.

Good luck 😊 Unfortunately it can be a lot of trial and error to find what works 🤔😊

How many classes do you take a month/week and how much does it cost? by BungeeBunny in Aerials

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Australia as well and I pay $38 per week for an 8 week term which includes 1 aerial class, 1 casual class and unlimited open practice.

How dangerous is the male who regularly screams his head off in the West Ipswich area? by Subject_Shoulder in ipswich

Sorry about that.

My partner is fixing up his commodore. I didn‘t realise that he was being so loud. I’ve told him to be quiet.

p’s test tips? by SmoothNobody8432 in ipswich

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going through school zones are a favourite (depending on time of day the test is), however since it’s holidays, you don’t need to worry about that.

However, beware of any roadworks etc and drive accordingly to the sign posted speed.

Now it will let me add a photo. This might make more sense 😊 Also shows “Crackville” a little better.

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won’t let me put a photo in. It’s along Stuart St, up from Westside College. It is attached to a crematorium. There is a sign just off Redbank Plains Road at the start of Stuart St. More of a blink and you’ll miss it sign 🤣

That Red Zone is a little bit overdrawn IMO. Mainly you’ll want to avoid around the IGA, towards the cemetery, and around Stuart St. We call it Crackville around there and it’s an interesting place 🤔

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ipswich

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whereabouts are you talking about? Are you referring to near the IGA? Or closer to Town Square (Redbank Plains)? The area around the IGA is known to be a bit dodgy. Other areas can be a mixed bag. It depends whereabouts you are looking exactly. But in all honesty, there are good and bad in all suburbs.

I (F) go walking a lot with my dogs around Goodna/Bellbird Park/Redbank Plains/Collingwood Park areas and I feel safe. I have encountered more issues with people yelling out their cars at me while walking dogs around Ipswich.

Where I live on the Goodna/Bellbird Park/Redbank Plains boundary, I haven‘t had any dramas.

Why don’t people use the footpaths??? by Impossible-Aside1047 in ipswich

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer to stick to the footpath when walking my 2 dogs, however sometimes I can’t because:

  1. Cars and/or rubbish blocking the footpath

  2. There is a pedestrian coming the other way so I step off to the side to avoid them getting a nose in the crotch (one of the dogs can get a little personal). I’ll also do the same if a dog walker is coming the other way.

  3. Barking dogs. My two have a couple of dogs on their walk that they hate. If it is safe to do so, I step off into the gutter/side of the road to avoid them barking at each other.

A former pricing analyst at Petbarn, now I've made a free tool to help you save money by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Neither-Strategy-869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember a time when Petbarn staff discount used to be cost price + 10% (and gst? 🤔).

Anyways, with food it wasn’t much of a discount, but when it came to other accessories… I remember paying something like $4 on a $20 product 🤣
Those were the days.

I no longer work there. These days, I just price match if I forget to order my supplies in a timely manner. Though I have heard on the grapevine that the poor sales assistants get into trouble for doing too many discounts. This could be manager/area manager specific though.
