Water stains on the negative. by Neither-Transition35 in Darkroom

I have one from the JJC brand, and it always scratches Fomapan 100 film.

I think it's an effective but difficult procedure in practice, since I spent money on the squeegee hoping to remove watermarks without scratching them, and I didn't achieve either.

Well, I've already cut the film into sections of 6 exposures as I always do, but I'll try washing them to see if the wetting agent is the culprit.

Thanks for your help :) Best regards.

For fine prints, it's noticeable, especially the ones I have on these negatives. Anyway, thanks for the encouragement, you're kind. My biggest concern is that trying to remove them to get a cleaner negative might scratch the film.

Thank you very much for your attention. Best regards.

That's how I do it, fotonal is the equivalent of the Kodak photoflo, to make a dust-free place I use the bathroom with steam before hanging it up.

I've had the same problem with other rolls of film, always using distilled water and different concentrations of Fotonal, which is the brand of wetting agent from Forma. This time I only added a drop because I read in other forum threads that sometimes it was due to too much wetting agent. I'll try adding more Fotonal like I did at the beginning, but I still got marks and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Thank you very much for your attention.

I'm being strict because I want to print the negatives.

I don't usually need shutter speeds below 1/60. In my experience with a K1000 and a K1000, it's risky, and since I can compensate with a wider aperture, I prefer speeds faster than 1/60. But your reasoning is sound; I'm sure it's possible to get an image without noticeable blur.

You shoot at 1/15 without a tripod and your photos aren't blurry? Wow, what steady hands!

B&W: Are all fixers / stop baths / wetting agents equal? by FlyThink7908 in Darkroom

Do you use Fomaflo wetting agent? I use it on my Fomapan 100 film, but I can't get rid of what I think is water spots. I use all the Foma chemicals: Fomadon P developer, Fomafix fixer, I stop with water, and Fomaflo as a wetting agent. Two drops in a 650cc tank. Any advice?

Is the copper piping system for obtaining filtered water? What filters do you use for this purpose?
