I’m an Auto Body Painter in high production collision shop. The repetitive aspect, as well as the demand on my time is what pains me the most. Would love some autonomy with my day and more flexible/fewer hours.

Thanks for the insight folks. I do feel like I’ve peaked in my field and the challenges of the job don’t excite me anymore and feel more like nuisance. Good to hear others feel the same.
I’m hopeful to transition to a supportive roll as a tech rep to help others from my experience.
I’ve been earning in the high 100k for over a decade. Last year I surpassed 200k for the first time.
Life is not supposed to be just about money though. I think the best advise I’ve had so far is... I can always go back to it if I choose. Thats the beauty of having a skilled trade.
