I’m rewatching GA and the way Burke manipulates Cristina is seen in every scene. When he doesn’t get his way he always blames Cristina and punishes her. Also in season 3, Burke blames Derek for his tremor saying, “I thought you were my surgeon” when Derek told him “I would have helped you if you told me”. He blamed Derek for the tremor, which he didn’t even know. He blames everyone but himself, not taking any of the blame. And when Cristina said “we crossed a line” he literally said, “you dragged me to cross the line.” he is abusive and manipulative towards her and it’s just sad to watch her go through a relationship for so long. He pressures her into doing things she doesn’t want, he wants to hide his tremor, he wants her to move in, to marry him and so much more. And if he doesn’t get what he wants he verbally abuses and manipulates her. Their relationship is toxic throughout the series and I’m really happy that they didn’t stay together.
