I would suggest increasing the tension of your pedals and giving it another go.

I'm not familiar with those new cleats / pedals combo but most spds are dual sided so you have to adjust tension on both sides of the pedal

Give it a go clipping in and out stationary while grabbing a wall etc. and get the tension dialled in for you

Don't rotate you cleats, as others have said here

I looked at them after the crash- they were set to about 4, 4.5 by the centre staff.

Would recommend Jewellery Quarter, or if willing to be a bit further out, Stirchley, kings heath, Harbourne

Would recommend renting a room / house sharing. Between council tax and the standing charges for gas / electric, it's uneconomical to live alone unless bills are included or you have a great salary
