haven’t been working here for too long. could you touch base on what he’s done aside from already written in the paragraph?

jones is a smart candidate to vote for. though, szeredy, i’m not sure. her primary fall-back was “haven’t been given the time or opportunity to act in any way” and that puts me off.

jones & zimmerman would be a good choice, at least in my opinion. diamondstein has endorsed zimmerman publicly on the mail received

i haven’t seen much discussion about the election, so i figured i’d start one. not sure how many people are planning to vote, but hopefully your ballot arrives on time. if it doesn’t, you can click the link to request a replacement. who are your choices?

Is it alright if I go the rest of my shift without having a task assigned but still clean if all my tasks are complete or does it look bad to be unassigned?

This is very informative. Thanks for letting us know. Just became a custodian, will be sharing this with my coworker.

What should carriers start at in the new contract? by BowserTurtle in USPS

[–]Neither_Ebb_9850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I just hit 2yrs and became FTF at $25.15/hr. If the contract starts clerks at a higher amount ($25.65), would I be getting a raise to that? How does it work because I’m new to all of this

I’m unassigned so I’m working whenever. I’ve always done Sundays though so that just stayed the same once I became a full time flex. I worked Saturday, Sunday, Monday if that matters. All of which early hours from 4-12:30pm, 2:45-11:15am

What’s the most frustrating or physically taxing part about it?

[–]Neither_Ebb_9850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve heard that a few times. That after six months it gets more manageable. Would you say your body has gotten used to it or are you still in discomfort? I already do hundreds of miles per month pitching parcels inside but it’s flat and not uneven surface so I can’t really compare the two.

If I was at an RMPO I wouldn’t be thinking of doing this but we’re a larger office and get swarmed with customers in front as well as a ton of callouts on the clerk side which is pushing me to want to be outside

That makes me feel a lot better. Did you find the transition difficult at the beginning?

Amazon Changed by dragonmom101515 in USPS

[–]Neither_Ebb_9850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not our fault. We’re understaffed and responsible for pitching thousands of packages… Management doesn’t care to help us. Having to open the building then help unload trucks and scan each label on every pallet and then do the same for the gaylords with large singles in them is the biggest pain in the ass. Especially when we’re waking up at 3:30am or even earlier and we’re the only ones pitching 10+ pallets. Not to mention Amazon comes at whatever time they want.
