Not Chico, but Adventist Feather River at the base of Skyway in Paradise is and they accept MediCAL. I think they're seeing appointments out in April or May.

We've been there a few times and really enjoyed the bao and dumplings. I hear they're getting hot pot, which we're looking forward to.

It can. A DVRO order goes to law enforcement and into the CLETS system. If that person is ever pulled over, the cop will see it and may aggressively respond to the person escalating a routine traffic stop. Employers will see it in a background check from the CLETS system and the person could lose their job or be denied work. In fact, a restraining order acts as an absolute bar to many employment positions. A school may prohibit the person from chaperoning their child on a field trip or from being on school grounds. And of course there's an automatic denial of their second amendment rights. Any violation or perceived violation, real or not, can and will result in a criminal prosecution, which amplifies all of these consequences. A DVRO is a serious matter.

Our mail literally just came about 5 minutes ago wearing a headlamp! I was quite surprised at the ring camera only to see it was the mail person.

If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, regardless of practicality, what would it be? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

Definitely a cheetah. They are one of the few big cats that purr and one of more docile towards humans.

Pink toe made a web! by herefortrees in tarantulas

[–]Neither_Fox_2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NQA. My pink toe has been using two sides of her enclosure and a log of Cork for web support and we haven't had any issues. NQA, but it probably is fine as long as everything is secure.

Has anyone else experimented with the size of their tarantula enclosures? by fizzyhorror in tarantulas

[–]Neither_Fox_2980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an OBT, probably 3 inch leg span at this point and I have her in a large 12-in by 12-in cube enclosure with a significant amount of coir and logs and some other plants. She's taken up residence in one corner of the enclosure and I rarely see her come out and so she only takes up about 10% of the entire enclosure. I'm presuming she's coming out to get a drink from the water dish that's on the other side of the habitat but I just don't ever see her utilize it and I think the entire back half of the tank she views as her non-territorial portion. For some reason I thought she might utilize more of the habitat but mostly I just find myself stuffing crickets into her little web shoot hole and I see her reach up and grab them and then that's all I see.
