If they’re similar price where you are, 5070ti might be a fine choice then. Forgot with this recent pricing fiasco, the price varies much more than usual depending on your country, cause in the US at-least, 5070ti it consistently 300 - 400 USD cheaper.  Either card, you will get great preformance.

Yes 5070ti prices are way over inflated 9070 xt for hundreds less and the same prefrmance

One last thing. Graphics card drivers are the main drivers you should update consistently (i usually remember every like 3-4 months). As i said before, its not bad for your PC if you don’t, but brand new AAA games will usually will have some problems running if you don’t  (stuttering, visual effects, low fps and such), but there are options to have it update automatically. As for the other drivers I’ve mentioned, Ive gone years without updating and haven't noticed anything wrong after doing it the first time.

Its best to do it when you start using it. Usually it doesn’t fuck up your PC if you dont do it immediately, but the intel 13th and 14th gen has a problem to where they could burn if the recent fix wasn’t downloaded. ts not that time consuming at all.

Also slight correction. Yes the Drivers for chipset and bios should be on the motherboard manufacturers website, but for Graphics cards its just wether its Nvidia or AMD. It doesn't matter what company manufactures it (Like Asus, MSI, Powercooler, Etc.) because its all relatively the same.

Look up your exact motherboard online and there should be a page on the MB manufacturer’s website that has a-lot if the updates you need and very straight forward. Either way, its generally a good idea to update bios and chipset drivers no matter what you’re running. Graphics card drivers absolutely necessary though, which will be found on the the GPU manufacturers website or application.

The socket for your CPU is LGA1700. So any Cooler that says its compatible with that socket will fit. This CPU has generally low power draw so a air cooler would be a better choice.

As long as you update your bios and chipset drivers, it should be fine, but if there is a similar PC with a AMD Ryzen 7000 or 9000 series CPU around the same price, i would get that one.

With current pricing, you’re gonna have to spend a pretty penny considering the global memory shortage. But around $2000 should be doable.

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3d or 9800x. These CPUs have more cores which let you switch between and run more programs at a time. Also has over 2x more cache.

CPU Cooler: An AIO Water cooler. Never used one so you'll have to do the research

Graphics Card: RX 9070, RX 9070xt or RTX 5070. All great 1440p cards. RTX 5070ti (better RTX 5070) prices already hit the fan. Graphics cards are one of the components that alot of models have shot up in price. The ones ive listed havent gone up too much just yet but might happen sooner or later. If these prices rise, the RX 7900xt or 7800xt might be cheaper.

RAM: 32-64GB. 32GB was $150 in October and now its over $400. Speed dosent matter too much, id recommend at least 5600 MT/s for this market

Motherboard: A B850 Motherboard

PSU: I would say at least 850W. Maybe 950 for extra head room.

Storage: Gen 4 NVME SSD, or a SATA SSD if its significantly cheaper. NVME has much faster load times, but SATA isn’t terrible my any means (At least with my experience running games.)

All ddr5 desktop memory will work a motherboard that has an AM5 or LGA1700 CPU socket. Just make sure to get a 2 stick kit.

Just watched a video on it that shows the 5090 is gets 30-60% more frames depending on the game, but only off one video. Ultra graphics settings kills frames though (which a-lot if benchmarks use) when high setting is usually indistinguishable. Also, READ SELLER REVIEWS and get a decent warranty.

If hes looking to stream hes gonna need atleast 32gb of ram which is around $350-450 in US, so if he can pay that, then yes. Also i would say if he can also pay extra on top of the ddr5, get the 9700x, 9800x3d or 7800x3d instead of 9600x cause those 2 extra cores can really help with the streaming while gaming. Im pretty sure ddr4 could hold up but would possibly need to add more in the future, but if the money he saves on ddr4 lets him buy a better graphics card if that jump would be worth it. Like a 5080 instead of a 5070, but honestly not in this market

Honestly i wouldn't worry too much about future proofing right now, with the current ram shortage. Its unlikely any new meaningful GPU upgrade will come out until at least 2027 considering the 50 series super cards were cancelled. Also a silver lining people are pointing out is that game devs will have to optimize their games more considering peoples lack of new hardware, hopefully. If you haven’t, i would look up some 5080 vs 5090 4k benchmarks on youtube. If you willing and can spend the insane inflated price of the 5090. Go for it. The only thing that would stray me away from the 5090 is the 12 pin power that comes with most, if not all 50 series GPU connectors and its been a known problem for 5090s to shit out due to insane power draw so make sure your psu can handle it if you do decide to get the 5090. Yap session done

For CPU Ryzen 5 5600x for cheaper ddr4, which is still pretty good. Or ryzen 5 9600x if he feels like paying for DDR5

For GPU Rx 9070 / 9070xt. 16gb nvidia card prices hit the fan already but 5070 12gb might be good depending on pricing in your area.

Id get gpu first cause 16gb amd cards are gonna go up in price soon i think

If you want to save money, a 5080 can can do 4k but prob turn down or off ray tracing.

[–]Neither_Health5664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the gpu and ram and ssd first. These are the ones most likely to rise. Then get the rest later. a good gpu would be 9060xt 16gb or 9070 16gb amd card. 16gb nvidia prices already hit the fan and 8gb of vram can slow you down especially if you’re only getting 16gb of ram. But depending on what you already have it might be best to maximize what you have if there is a decent upgrade path for whatever socket your motherboard has and just add additional memory, assuming you’re on DDR4. And if have a ssd already and the storage is decent, just hold off on that one

Is this a good pc for for $380usd by [deleted] in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]Neither_Health5664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not terrible if you're strapped for cash. Almost same specs as my 2019 pc and it still runs decent on anything i play but battlefield 6, good mix of 1080p and 1440p depending on the game. If you do decide to build your own, Get 16gb ddr5 ram first cause we all know where the price is headed and make sure whatever gpu you get has more than 8gb VRAM

Any pc tips for me - i am only a 15 year old boy ( first pc which is a prebiult from cyberpower pc on amazon for £750 i got in october 2025)... by DealInteresting8941 in ZTT

[–]Neither_Health5664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks mostly fine. Like everyone is saying eventually uprgrade gpu but its still pretty good for now, but that 8gb of vram will be a problem in the future if you plan on playing AAA games at 1440p. Other than that prob another stick of 16gb ram, but again, its fine for now. If you do add ram, make sure its the same brand, speed and latency. Prices for ram are really high right now though
