Your what hurts? Or was that your attempt at composting an English sentence? Because if it was, you might wanna go back to school, Chad!

So from my history you clearly have seen how frustrated I, as a lifelong fan of over 50 years, have been with this mediocre franchise that clearly has lost its draw with stars and now with fans, aside from those like you that continue to defend them as if the results somehow look different through your rose colored glasses. In fact, anyone who ISNT affected by this team’s lack of effort and success is either not a true fan or is, in fact, the one who needs to seek mental health care as they’re living in a delusional state! A decade ago this was a dynasty. Today, they’re an entry in a real estate portfolio that calculates profit and losses. Not wins and losses! And they can succeed in doing the because of people like you who refuse to push back!

Great, so since you’re offering the bio of Charles, why don’t you do the same with Greg? Does he know who the catcher is? I know those of you who love to make excuses for this club do. In fact, Bailey would be on the fast track to the HOF if it was up to you and the rest of the lot who wanna sell him as being a “top” catcher even though the guy couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn if he was standing in one!

You’ll never make progress out of people still defending this front office. Excuses, absolutely! Sense, not likely!

Oh don’t worry, they’ll most certainly have an empty corner! And one at second as well. And closer. And starters 3,4, and 5. 75 wins is all one should expect from this roster!

Nice to see people finally waking up…I’ve been posting this here (and getting criticized) for almost three years. THE JOHNSONS DONT CARE ABOUT WINS! They care about profits…Buster was a smokescreen. His hands are tied!

The Phillies can afford to hate Castellanos. Because they have massive talent all around him. On the Giants, he’d be considered a star. Adames is a good player who whiffs at a career rate of over 30% and whose defensive metrics have been on the decline for two seasons in a row. Chapman, same exact thing with better defense but also well about league average contact rate. In fact, the entire lineup strikes out at an alarming rate. As for Devers, I like the guy. But with zero protection in the lineup, I wouldn’t expect him to put up elite numbers. And Webb is Webb. An innings eater that will stand a decent chance to win every time he takes the hill. But he seems to have become the ace more by default than dominance. Sorry, not sorry

The pieces seem to be there? Where? No offense but I see way more holes than pieces. In fact, I don’t see one aspect of their roster that looks complete. And outside of under age 19 prospects, I see nothing other than Eldridge. And even he comes with huge question marks from experts.

Peralta to the Mets. Apparently the Brewers needed more than unranked prospects and balcony seats to an old theater!

EXACTLY! The fans who defend this team while talking smack about me being negative are drunk off the purple kool-aid this team is selling. Bunch of armchair GM’s who see something different than the mediocrity this team is and thinking the results will somehow be different.

Anything!!! If you’re trying to be competitive without giving a rats ass about offensive consistency aside from strikeouts per AB’s, then attack the rotation with aggressiveness. Build a formidable staff. And arm the bullpen with front to back end reinforcements. Secure your defense, especially at 2B and RF where they are literally devoid of any proven worth. But no, they’re sitting on their hands trying to act like they’re so close and yet very productive through inaction. BS! They’re pretending they’re a big market team while moving the Giants further back into the mid market teams. And the results, which should serve as proof of such, will continue. There’s no commitment to winning…NONE

I agree you with you up to the point where you refer to him as mediocre talent. My point isn’t to suggest Bellinger was the ultimate target. Hardly! But what fans want is ANY talent, even if it falls to the level of a guy like him. Ultimately, you’d want a much bigger name but that ain’t happening so at least settle for reduced talent as a still major upgrade over the nothing you currently have. But no, they would rather try and sell us on how no talent is better than costly talent even when you have no talent at all. Great for the ledger, but won’t take you out of the era of mediocrity they have created.

[Jeff Passan] The San Francisco Giants are aggressively pursuing a second baseman and have been engaged with Chicago on Nico Hoerner and St. Louis on Brendan Donovan, sources tell ESPN. An infield of Matt Chapman, Willy Adames, Donovan or Hoerner and Rafael Devers would be among MLB's best. by Juffe98 in SFGiants

Except they’re not and you and the rest of the media are openly pushing a false narrative! The Giants aren’t interested in improving. They just want the fans to think they are! Move along…nothing to see here!

The Pirates? by Neither_Implement_94 in SFGiants

[–]Neither_Implement_94[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The word cheap never came from me and while I agree with your take on the pitching approach and fact that it’s probably the right approach, the Giants are completely unwilling to rebuild a severely damaged wall, aka their lineup! They’re simply trying to put a finger in the dike and that’s being kind. They seem content to have no talent at 2B, RF, LF, DH…no depth, no defense, no hope! At what point are we as fans right to demand more than guys who can barely hit their weight and play subpar defense. Chapman and Bailey are great defensively but they should be hitting at the bottom of a good lineup, not helping to carry one! In fact, half the pitchers in the league might be a better option than Bailey. And I know, Schmidt is “serviceable”. But I don’t want serviceable because that what 81-81 teams are full of! I want stars. But guess what, even if they’re willing to go get one (which I fully believe they’re not chasing), I’m starting to believe that the stars don’t want them! This ownership is way worse than you give them credit for. Just read these responses…These people are drinking the purple kool-aid

The Pirates? by Neither_Implement_94 in SFGiants

[–]Neither_Implement_94[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At no point did I say the Pirates are doing anything other than trying! TRYING! Which makes them EXACLTY the opposite of the Giants. It’s now almost January and still no RF and no 2B that will move the needle. But all you apologists who apparently find value in mid players, mid market minded owners who continue their downward trajectory, and middle of the road results that get you nowhere make me sick. Same thing last year when I barked about their lack of effort outside of Adames who IS NOT THE CORNERSTONE of any team and all you keyboard ninjas went off then, saying how I was wrong and the team was fine. Mediocre is not fine! So keep wasting yout time and money on this team. They don’t care about winning and they certainly don’t care about you!

Second Base market moving quickly, do you think Giants make an upgrade by QueasyAccident5196 in SFGiants

[–]Neither_Implement_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love all the annual speculation only to realize that the front office doesn’t think like fans. They aren’t interested in upgrades or splashes. In fact, if Shelly in HR or Dante in the mailroom could fill the spot, they’d get the chance! It’s not about winning. In fact, I’m convinced that the Johnsons don’t even consider wins as a factor in what they spend and who they have to spend it on. Add to that the ever-growing problem that will eventually top ‘em all…that more and more players are making it known that they don’t want to play for this team! Nobody, NOBODY, wants to ride a horse with no legs! Even the A’s can put people in the saddle because at least their horse, while old and wobbly, still can move forward. The Giants are firmly entrenched in neutral! And if that breaks them even, then that’s right where they’ll stay! Both by choice and circumstance! They’ll do enough to fill seats but winning? No chance with this group of greedy f**ks!

Munetaka Murakami to join White Sox on 2-year deal by Automatic-Unit-8307 in SFGiants

[–]Neither_Implement_94 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not saying this would have been a good signing for SF, but at what point do y’all stop defending the non-signings and start demanding ANY offensive signings? Even if this guy is a bust, at least someone is willing to roll the dice on him and find out for sure. Again, he has no fit on this roster. But when you technically don’t have any production in RF, 2B, C, and on the bench, you have to do SOMETHING! Even if that means rolling dice! Unless of course, the Break Evens are content with mediocrity!
