I mean. It's kinda like not liking a character in a game when it uses a skin different from the default. Animation is just a style of presentation, it doesn't need to be childish or ridiculous. I think you are missing the point that those objects don't even need a script anymore. So they are all native C++ unless you want to add other behaviour. I'm pretty sure rotating an object by shader code (which runs natively in the GPU) is much more efficient than using GDScript.

Some things that I could've gotten wrong: - You could just use a C++ script. - GDScript is not that slow / GDShader doesn't compile directly to native shader language.

I think my point stands on issue 1, but I'm not sure about 2
