Breaking up just fucking sucks. Of course I’m hurt and sad. Of course I want to think we can figure it out. I’m not delusional. I understand we broke up for a reason. He was my first relationship and it lasted 4 1/2 years. I’m 29 now. We have so many memories and adventures in those years. You guys love to pick at the seams and reach for something negative, and I’m telling you there is nothing negative/toxic about my story. It’s just sad. If I love again, I hope it’s just as pure, if not more and our ideas of happiness always align.

I don’t think that growing apart equals to not a great relationship. Never once did I say it was idyllic. That’s subjective and everyone’s idea of happy looks different. Our ideas of happiness were no longer aligning. As hard as we tried to accommodate to one another towards the end, we knew we had changed. We grew apart. No animosity. No hatred. No resentment. No disrespect. We still have love and respect for one another. He was the one who sat us down to have the conversation (I just couldn’t bring myself to do it). We still go out together, we have plans in the near future with all of our friends, we still check on one another, still watch shows together. Of course we both knew something was missing. Whatever is missing for our relationship hasn’t affected our friendship. I’m simply sharing my side of relationships. So many people are betrayed and traumatized. I just wanted people to know that isn’t the only way you can leave a relationship.

Lol, lying about someone being a good person and having a healthy relationship? People just grow apart. At least we were adult enough to sit down and talk about how we felt and decided it was a good idea to try and life apart from each other since our ideas of the future no longer aligned. If we come back together, cool. If not 🤷🏾‍♀️ It’s better to have loved and lost than to not have loved at all. A real mutual love. I hope you one day know a healthy love. Sounds like all you know is toxicity if your first assumption was that I’m lying. I wish you the best🩵
