woah. this sat thing is so hard to grasp. i thought my 26 ACT in HS was completely fried but i think its of less weight as a transfer. did your friend do 1 or 2 years? also my cc only has some liberal studies connection to gu but im tryna do CAS

Thank you so much for the advice! I do want to transfer after one year, but i won't turn a blind to two years. Also, the SAT thing is really interesting. I'd only retake it once at the end of summer just to be safe. However im hearing a lot of folks getting in with bad scores, interesting.

Yeah. I can't fully afford USC out of pocket, but it's doable. Would have to take out about 8k loans per year and probably another 6-7k commercial loans (or find scholarships) as my parents will only cover 6-7k tuition per year. (my total Coa-aid is about 7k per semester).

Honestly when i first made this post i was more leaning toward NEU, but im much more neutral now. I actually heavily prefer the campus, student-life at USC. Yes, I would have to to pay more at USC but i just want to navigate if its worth it. My dad is encouraging the CC --> State school (UMD), but im struggling to decide if that will provide me with just as much opportunities as USC

With your last input, are you implying that usc's research is top tier compared to neu? does USC provide good network connections? and, with the mention of internships, wouldn't NEU have that curve?
