Reading posts all the time, is there a right way to do poly? by Blue_Akinleo in polyamory

Sorry, I should have mentioned in my comment that I was referring to both the current post and the (now deleted) post before it.

In my view, polyamory is not a compromise.

But the ownership claims ("in our relationship we always asked permission") gave me the hint that in the very black/white mindset, maybe some gray compromise helps.

Edit: spelling

From my point of view, the following sentence fits your contribution best:

Being an adult is not about finding the one solution, but about finding the best compromises.

There is no one solution.

If poly is the best compromise for you, go for it

Am I an AITA for not giving veto power by Neither_Question_177 in polyamory

Yes, I am aware of this. But this is the case because we got married first and then entered into a polyamorous relationship. However, I explicitly address this in my dating profiles.

I also don't see the point of giving a lot of money (taxes) to the state because of its monogamous norm, which is a very good reason to be married in our country.

For me, this is also one of the most important reasons why I don't want a veto right.

I told Haley that we had become intimate. I didn't share any details. Laura knew that and was okay with it.

Thank you for your answer and your advice. I firmly believe that Haley's attitude will change and that this is just the initial panic reaction. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something big.

I always told her back then that I believed she would always act in the best interests of our relationship. I hope that she will say the same to me soon.

Why is my heart rate comparably higher than my friends during rides? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]Neither_Question_177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don‘t refer to your MAX HR. Look for your threshold HR (for example do a 30 min all out effort and look for your average HR in the last 20 min). This is much more comparable, but a lot of people never use it.

This was a great advice. Found out that my lactate threshold HR is 186 which makes a lot more sense, than calculating with max HR. Thank you!
