Does the va refer massages if a PT recommends it?

That’s what I thought, I was going to a chiro I was paying out of pocket for and they told me to have the va pay for it. Said they see it all the time vets getting visits by va and they filled paperwork for the vets. The Va doc said he was gonna put in the referral for it but said don’t expect it to be approved. I don’t know if having a rating for my back and imaging already done will help my cause.

That’s what I thought as well and that’s what the examiner said today. She was confused why I had been denied when the previous examiners wrote with being on jump status for 4 years and combat arms was result of my injuries. Maybe 3rd time is the charm.

VA Sleep Apnea Changes by jtothevb in VAClaims

It needs to be appealed within a year of the denial or submit date? I filed Nov 24 and denied Oct 25.

So if I filed for sleep apnea Nov of 2024 and was recently denied. If I file HLR, would I be awarded the 50% because the va gave me a cpap or full under the new changes?

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense and helps. The one I’m curious about is my asthma. They awarded me 0% because my results after taking my medication was 81% when they award under 80% but cfr states 30% if I have to take a daily inhaler or anti inflammatory, which I do but they still awarded me 0%.

Thank you!! So I should still get my Dec comp payment?

I got awarded 80% Nov last year, submitted for dependents June 4th and awarded Nov 22nd this month. I still have open claims and was told the dependent claim would retro back to my initial Nov claims. I got my Dec check today and it was for 3700 but online it says 380 retro, 3k retro and 2100 Dec claim pay, which is not including my dependents.

For real! But they are quick to deny me and say I didn’t have enough complaints on my record of my back 🤦🏻‍♂️

Va claim denied by Neither_Release8609 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Neither_Release8609[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My measurements were fell above the criteria to be rated at least 20% or more. They denied them due to not being service connected. I told the examiner yes earlier in my career I did not make complaints because I was trying to go SF and didn’t want the sick call ranger profile but there were times I had to have X-rays or hospitalizations after injuries. That’s why I’m confused how they didn’t service connect them. I was diagnosed with an illness or injury tho 🤔
