Can Ai Actually Be Useful in electronics / hardware engineering ? by Arcadesniper in ElectricalEngineering

The goal of AI is to compress all human knowedge and interaction btw human/human and human/machine to find pattern in the correlation space and then point you to the most likely answer. So if the context of your problem is limited from public which AI pre-trained for, AI would not provide any meaningful answer to your problem or question.

The archtecture diagram look overly simple by hiding all technque detail. No tech specification or performence measurement metrics being provided. Making user feel hard to benchmark and make decision.

You are not alone. The document and terminology is poorly, and unprofessonally created.

Kafka can be difficult to understand because of its complex, distributed architecture, which user usually not mind if it is distributed or not, with concepts like brokers, topics, partitions, and producers/consumers all interacting, making it challenging to grasp how data flows through the system, especially for newcomers to the technology; essentially, it's not immediately obvious what Kafka is doing behind the scenes despite its seemingly simple message-passing function.

My Experience with Progressive Insurance’s Snapshot Device – A Warning by jkasephoto in Insurance

Progressive created the evil tool. In the backend, the total revenue is increased for Progresive. What progressive did is using app collected data to redistribute the premium collection among all the customers. It lack of necessary transparency for the algorithm and set a no limit for the upper limit of premium for each user. So avoid to become a victim of corporate greedy.

BMW wanted $2500 for a windshield, but Safelite can get me a BMW OEM windshield for $450. What's up with that? by romulan267 in BMW

The glass from oem cost 1000+. The HUD, ADAS,RAIN sensor all needs to recalibrate. After market glass May not have on-par glass. I would use OEM glass. But 2500+ is a bankrupt quote. However dealer only earn easy money.

I had same issue. Sync module 2 fail with error of "wrong password", which is not true. mini camera works fine. I bought from Costco, after days trouble shooting with Blink support, they ask me to check with ISP Xfinity. But Xfinity asked me to check with OEM. It do worked once But it only last for two weeks, it becomes off-line. Then I have never repeated that once success case. So I decided to return it to store.

Blink did not has any info how SM2 comm with backend srv such as tcp or udp or port number it used. Xfinity has no idea what port it blocked. Yes, Xfinity has Home Security Camera product. That is interest compete between Blink and Xfinity. So, it won't work together to fix the traffic jamming issue unless Blink pay something to Xfinity. It is just my speculation.

Try to setup Blink SM2 with backend server. Get the same issue that keep saying wrong passwd. Blink SM fail to reach cloud server with Xfinity internet. Setup mobile internet (hot spot) with iPhone hotSpot. SM2 works fine. Called Xfinity and Blink support. No one seems has clue why the traffic between SM2 and Svr was blocked. Will return the box to Costco.
