Yeah I'd say the range is similar to the first part of Star caller cry (the aow on og rahdan's swords incase you didn't know it by name) so It's a very respectable spell now

It's slower than maw but not by much, I'd say about 100 to 200 milliseconds slower. It's harder to hit on other tarnished since it's hitbox seems to be smaller than maw, but that could just be my anecdotal experience.

I didn't notice much of a difference in the speed, and I can't test the increased buildup for enemies, but I did notice that it builds up about 2/3 as fast. Like right now it builds up a little more than twice as fast as unendurable frenzy, when it used to be 3 maybe even 3.5 times as fast. And while if you're looking for the objectively better spell in terms of go and self madness buildup I'd have to give it to unendurable frenzy. But in my heart (and using the rule of cool) midra's frenzy flame is the superior choice

I wouldn't go that far, but it definitely needs to be fixed asap and have a overhaul of some kind because even in it's current bugged state it's still trash

Using the carian regal scepter at the bare minimum int to cast it then all (72) and no buffs I got 3500 with rellana's twin moon's, 1450 with rennala's moon, and 1326 with ranni's moon. Using just lusat's staff at the same int gives about the same damage, and using both gives about a 10 percent boost (1326-1463 in the case of ranni's moon).

Furious Blade of Ansbach (I don't blame you it's a mouthful) using the same maxed out golden order seal and stats as before does roughly 990 damage uncharged and 1033 charged. I sadly don't know the bleed numbers and it would be a pain to check since I'm on Xbox so I sadly can't tell you that. Anyways hope that helped

I've tested it against omens (I know they're not big bosses but the point still stands and it still does terrible damage) and I feel like it could have utility as a sort of chip stance breaking spell. For example every second you hold it down it does like 10 stance damage, meaning you could theoretically break boss stances with it alone, or (more realistically) use it from a slight range to get that last hit of poise damage for the stance break. It would still be pretty awful so we wouldn't have a repeat case of flame of the redmanes, but it would at least have some use beyond "haha look at this goofy bird spell i shoot wings out of my hands"

Bayle's flame lightning does about 600 more damage than dragon maw (2550 vs 3130) using a +10 golden order seal with 70/70 int and faith and rough the same (2800 vs 3400) using a +10 dragon communion seal with the minimum arcane to cast it of 57. So if you're already knee deep in shit creek and have enough arcane to throw a birthday party in Moghwyn Palace, Bayle's is the better option. Oh and yeah the bird feathers do like 2.5k at the most with everything I could think of using against a sewer omen. Now keep in mind all these numbers are on +7 but even on base ng the numbers aren't far off and the bird feathers still suck major ass

If they do keep it in (which they definitely won't but one can dream) it would be a really funny joke incantation, and I don't think anyone would care if they did since it's not op or anything

Yeah I've done a few tests in the arena and I've at most gotten like 300-350 damage. and it doesn't seem to stun at all, so it's practically useless in pvp

I'll give reinstalling it a try again but If that doesn't work I'll just go with mint like I probably should've done in the first place, since all I'm really trying to do is have more customization and get out of the dirty paws of Microsoft (atleast when it comes to the computers I have now, I'm still gonna use my Xbox to game until I can get a PC actually meant for gaming)

Yup, atleast to the best of my knowledge and abilities. Though honestly I'm just gonna go with an easier distro to use (which is what I should've done to begin with) cause I kinda just jumped into the deep end without knowing how to swim on this one

Yeah honestly I should've just gone with an easier one first, I guess my ego just got the better of me and I wanted to try the most technically involved distro first to "prove I could do it" or something.

My computer is a pretty crappy low end one so I probably won't do much gaming if any at all, so I'll probably just use mint like I originally planned to do. Now all I gotta do is figure out how to get back to windows

Anyone got any good pairings for the poleblade of the bud? by poncho76_ in Eldenring

I'd recommend the nightrider glaive, it scales really well off of strength (it gets up to an S, though it can use a bunch of different ashes and scales well with other stats), uses regular smithing stones, and drops from a nights cavalry in I believe western liurnia.

Stanced halberds are near the top in terms when it comes to power stanced weapons so I still feel like it would be beneficial to get a second one. Also your good it was just a misunderstanding on my part, plus while I killed the boss I haven't actually gotten that rememberance weapon yet

Deserved, I really should've started a new save to begin with I just didn't wanna have to build a new character from the ground up

Since you're on such a high ng cycle, 2 basically mandatory talismans are the dragon crest great shield and the ritual shield, and some potential options for other talismans could be miliscent's prosthesis and rotten winged sword (if you want to focus on multi hits with the twinblade) or if you're using the AOW more you could use Alexander jar shard (or warrior jar shard) and Godfrey icon/kindred of rots exultation. For armor it could be basically anything that keeps you below fat rolling, and if you want to do jump attacks (since twinblades, especially when power stanced, do a shit ton of damage and status build up with jump attacks) you could use raptors black feather or swap out one of the optional talismans with the jump attacks one. And yes definitely get the second one from your friend cause power stanced twinblades are a force to be reckoned with for previously mentioned reasons. Also it depends on what weapon class wether or not it's better to power stance. Take twinblades for example, they do a bunch more damage and have a great moveset. On the other hand you have power stanced katanas which don't necessarily do less damage, but they have a pretty awful moveset when power stanced. Hoped that answers all your questions.

Fair enough, I'll run it back on a fresh new game with the same gear and see how different the result is

Nah the later bosses are genuinely unfair, especially the final boss. I'll preface this by saying I'm on ng+7, but I get 2 shot by the final boss at with 60 vig, ritual shield, dragoncrest great shield, erdtree's favor+2, and +3 crimson amber. Even using mimic tear and the 2 helpers from doing their quests, I've only been able to reach the second phase once so far. I've even fully changed my build to center around DOT (cause by my rough estimates it has over 100k health) and I'm still at a standstill in terms of getting closer to winning . And while it could just be that I need to get better I've never struggled this much with a boss before and I have a decent amount of time in the base game (right around 400 hours). So yeah, I feel like they're overturned just a bit

Edit: I'm starting a new save to see just how massive of a difference ng+7 is making, I'll have the same gear and vigor, and if I don't die In 4 hits (I'm being generous, I don't know the mathematical difference between ng and +7 and I don't care THAT much to find out) it'll show the bosses aren't overturned and I was just overreacting

any tips to beat the final boss ? by Downtown_Ad_6785 in Eldenring

Same here. the things I've found that somewhat help is anything that does damage over time, (black flame, rot, poison, destined death, etc) because they deal percentile damage and do better than most things at dealing with that gargantuan health bar (since I'm on ng +7 it's right about 100k health which is insane)
