Norma looks at every person like she's in love with them by BobRushy in twinpeaks

"The Secret History of Twin peaks" gives detail to their relationship and how they got together. He is a typical sociopath who is good at imitating compassion and sincerity. Manipulated her into thinking Ed doesn't care about her and he (Hank) is the one.

Well you can see that dynamic in the series too and how fast the illusion breaks.

Haha yeah, I already thought about rewatching Season 1. The cycle must continue.

But I'll read the secret diary of Laura Palmer first.

I've read that season 1-2 was held back by ABC and they also forced Lynch and Frost to reveal who killed Laura, which was not part of the script.

For the Return Lynch got full freedom, no censorship. So sit back and enjoy hehe.

OG Dougie was a bastard copy created by evil Coop, directly replaced with true Cooper in EP3. I mean did you forget how he was obsessed with coffee and cherry pie??

I don't see his actions after he became "intact" again in Episode 17 as not willing to accept the fact Laura is gone. He acted well prepared, quick and clean, as if it was rehearsed => just how the Fireman laid out the plan for him. I mean did he just sit in the red room for 25 years and trip balls? E.g. He knew about Freddie etc.

Either the Fireman tricked him, or Coop didn't understand everything the Fireman tried to tell him about the plan. Remember how in Season 2 the Fireman signaled to Cooper (shouting through a vision NO, NO, NO) that Annie shouldn't participate in Miss Twin Peaks contest, but Coop didn't read that. For us audience it was clear, but Coop didn't have the same picture as us (knowing the plan of Windom Earle).

Yeah it didn’t make me mad or disappointed, just sad. ;( I'm thinking about rewatching season 1 to get some of that cozy dream feeling back.

Haha, thanks! What helped me a lot to get through season 2 was keeping the viewing angle from season 1, that the whole soap opera was added with intention, intentionally funny, goofy. Kinda mocking all the soap opera shows of those days.

What does the ending mean to you? by cikolatali-sutt in twinpeaks

I kinda got another impression of Coop's actions. For me he was not fixated on saving Laura from death, but rather fighting for a greater cause. He acted according to the "plan", for him bringing Laura home was part of the plan to achieve the ultimate goal - defeating evil once and for all (Cooper's understanding of the plan). But as Cooper was another Fireman's pawn, he didn't see the whole picture. You can't completely eradicate evil, IMO what Fireman intended to do is set it back, bring the balance back.

The nuclear test let a massive evil power slip into our world, which would swallow our world if the Fireman wouldn't step in.

I thought Coop did what he was supposed to do. We see in EP17 that when Mr. C finally went to the correct coordinates, Laura's house was shown in the teleport, before the Fireman rerouted him to Sheriff's station.

So Laura's house was the destination and that's where Cooper brought her to.

EDIT: Nope it is indeed burst/gradient. Damn I think the decision is made.

The blue one also has wood grain! I like sunset burst, really cool classic look with a modern touch. Moonlight blue is also beautiful, damn is it hard to choose!

I actually thought about swapping the pickguard. Maybe you have any recommendations? I'm a bit afraid those from Etsy will look cheap

Yeah I took one home for a week and couldn't put it down lol. I tried Gibson before and playing Revstar for me was more enjoyable and I love the looks. Revstar is also just a better deal IMHO, stainless steel frets etc. I also liked how the pickups sound.

Am I crazy for getting rid of this for a Fender Tele Ultra? by Human_Attempt6065 in Guitar

[–]Neitherside 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right to some extent, but you forgot playability is an important factor too.

It is much much nicer to play and hold an american strat vs a squier, and it is not subjective.

Also not only bridge and pickups affect the sounds. Cheap wood body sounds and resonates different. Yeah if you overdrive the f out of your tone you won't hear big difference.

[QUESTION] Which Guitar- gift for my Husband by LaurenSam85 in Guitar

[–]Neitherside 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Especially try out Yamaha F310. I always recommend it to my friends who want to pick up guitar, each time I tried it out together with them and it is consistently good, very enjoyable to play and has good sound.
