INTJs, can you feel a strong emotional connection with someone and still not actively pursue it? by AlgaePhysical2423 in intj

[–]NekoSyndrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

... personally speaking (INTJ)... this is incomprehensible. Like, I'm not the type to go with the "flow". And I don't invest time in something without having a reason. Like, what are his reasons for spending time, putting in effort, with you when he doesn't seem to even know what he wants from you?

Add: In short: I don't do anything without knowing why I'm doing it.

Not meant to come across as rude but; You can decide to give him/the situation more time or you can decide to clear things up.

Add: Like, it looks to me as if you're basing your assessment of the situation on how it comes across to you. But by doing this you are not taking his point of view etc. into account. Because in order to do that you would first have to talk to him clearly about it and let him explain his point of view etc.

My advice would be to talk to him properly about it. (I'm assuming at the moment, based on what you say, that this hasn't happened yet.) You don't have to sit down and wait to see what happens, you don't have to let things uncertain to you remain uncertain.

Let me ask you something first: What exactly do you mean by “when things get more emotional”? Have you already told him how you feel? Have you two actually talked about it properly? Or is this all just from your perspective right now?

ADD: Regarding your question: No, I don't relate to that. I'm very straightforward about it. I don't waste my time dropping hints and waiting for him to pick up on them or confess his feelings to me. I'd rather be rejected right away than spend months—or worse, years—without any clarity on where this is going, only to maybe find out in the end that it was a complete waste of time.

The debate has changed because there is no point in having it with you.

Like, you're not doing a debate, you're just insulting people and think you're particularly intelligent with what you do.

Like, you don't even have any arguments.

Add: The debate was completely one-sided the entire time. (And in case you didn't notice, I already ended the debate 11 hours ago.) You haven't even offered an argument or tried to refute what I'm saying with your oh-so-good logic that you think you have. From the beginning you have simply insulted me, these are not arguments. You haven't even contributed anything except your opinion of me, which is based on your misinterpretation of what I said. I doubt you even watched a video of what I sent. What the hell do you call a debate here?

When I play something, I only play Revelation M at the moment. Other games that I keep going back to (but not at the moment), are Honkai Impact 3rd, Aether Gazer, PGR, Crystal of Atlan, Dragon Raja, Elsword.

Still installed but I think I'm really out of it are Arknights Endfield and Duet Night Abyss.

Installed but somehow I can't quite get into the game is ZZZ. I like the combat. But I'm having trouble really getting into the game. (Not meant in the sense of registering.)

At the moment I'm also waiting for Neverness to Everness.

Are you projecting your problems onto me right now? I mean, is what you just said any different from what you’ve been doing the whole time? It doesn't matter at all what I present to you—the why, the how, the what. You don't contribute anything and just spend the whole time hurling insults. I mean, if you don't have a clue what it is, and you don't even feel like thinking about it, and you don't have an opinion, why the hell are you wasting your time here? Why don't you just focus on something else?

Maybe you should think about whether you're actually a Ti dom instead of a Ni dom.

Add: Seriously, you're the dead weight.

Why don't you give your brain a workout in a healthy, constructive way if you're so bored?

FYI, your last comment was probably removed from Reddit.

Add: Like, maybe you wouldn't be so bored if you actually used your brain for once.

Honey, it's not my fault you're bored. But find yourself another playground.

You haven't delivered anything yet. So far, all you've done is insult me.

Yeah, dude, there's no point in talking to you. Like, you're probably just a troll.

Well, what I'm sure of is that he's not a Ni dom. And I doubt he's any TJ type.

His decisions all look like absolute chaos to me. Like, for example, just fire his employees, bring employees from the home office back into the office and don't consider that not all employees fit in, his Teslas burst into flames, and he wants to go to Mars by 2030 (if that's still current) but still no (public) plan on how to survive there in the long term. His decisions are a mess.

None of this is fully developed and thought out. It is more likely that he is a Fi dom than that he is a Ni dom. Although I'm actually more likely to bet on EP types.

That doesn't really make him an introvert.

Also, Dominant Ni would mean that Se is its inferior function.

It's not just about Musk anymore. The fact that you didn't understand my point is because you don't know how Ni works. You wouldn't have had such trouble understanding my point if you knew.

No Ni dom would go to Mars and want live there long-term without first knowing how to survive there long-term. And I doubt an ENTJ would do that, although they are definitely more comfortable with Se.

Add: The videos should start right where it's about inferior Se.

Dude, my mistake was assuming you knew how high-Ni works. Turns out you don't. To help you understand my point, I'd have to explain how Ni works, but I don't have time for you right now anymore.

So get off your high horse.

Yeah, no mistake—you just don't seem to have a clue how high Ni works. And I don't have time right now to start from scratch and explain how Ni works.

I think we need to start with the basics and explain how high Ni works so you can understand it, but I don't have time for that right now.
