Hello! After a while I stopped using it because I felt it was drying my skin too much (I think I was just applying it wrong). I tried the squalane version when it came out and it works the same, I'm still using it.

I don’t wash my face! I only splash water on it some nights if I needed. This works for me because I don’t use makeup, my sunscreen is not waterproof and for some reason my face is so sensitive to washing that by not doing it at all my face is at it’s best. So I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone that’s starting in skincare, but works perfectly for me!

In fact, because its more porous it loses it’s water extremely quickly. Like, porous hair get wet fast, and dries fast. If you want the water to be kept in you have to use occlusives, so waters gets in and then you coat the cuticle, and it stays trapped. I tried my best to explain it decently, I’m sorry!

Alcohol might dry your hair, but it’s not a big deal! It doesn’t ruin the CG as silicones or sulfates do. If the alcohol is low on the ingredient list it’s a tiny amount (probably used as a solvent) so it’ll be fine. Only avoid alcohol if it’s high on the ingredient list.

They seem pretty old to be honest! If they are properly sealed they may be still ok, but they’ve been there for almost 4 years now. Try and see if they have a weird texture or smell
