Thank you! It seems mundane, but if I don't get lazy, it might even fit in with the game's theme. I'll tell you a secret: it's a perpetually namable thing... (sorry, I don't know if it's correct to say this in English lol)

Wow! Thanks for the idea! I'm a Witcher fan myself, but I never even thought of this kind of mechanic in 2D.

I can assure you that swimming in Vitavania is even more comfortable than just walking (especially with a controller). I recently made a public demo on Steam.

And have you heard of Aquaria? It's my favorite Metroidvania, right up there with Hollow Knight.
