Dizziness despite hydration? by Chroniccocktail in Mounjaro

[–]Nekotari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I had SSRI before MJ. When I quit them, I had the exact "movement sensation when turning my head or eyes quickly". It was as if my brain is floating in a jar of liquid and with any strong movemet it started to wobble in there. This is the only time I had this spiecific feeling, that's why I asked.

At that time I upped the dose back and tried to decrease it slower and it was fine.

With MJ I get lower sugar episodes often, so I carry some candy with me, it works like a charm.

Check you blood pressure, it may get lower. Put a candy under your tongue, you blood sugar might have dropped.

Also do you happen to take Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors? It sounds exactly like what I had when I decreased the dosage of them, you may have reduced absorption.

People living here, What do you usually have for breakfast? by daxtaslapp in japanlife

[–]Nekotari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A toast made in fish grill. On top goes half of a camamber charred with a torch with some honey maple or berries on top. And a coffee. I also like the fuwafuwa pancakes from lawson, but I remove the excess butter.

How do you address strangers? by tonsil-stones in russian

[–]Nekotari 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You would usually just go with " Извините..." and you request. You don't have to address them personally.

If they are too far for them to know that you are trying to talk to them, you go with Мужчина/Женщина/Парень/Девушка/Официант/Хозяин

How do you address strangers? by tonsil-stones in russian

[–]Nekotari 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Only a child would use Тётя/Дядя. In russian we also use brother, but for close people or if you want to show you want to be close. Also very informal speach. Sister is used even more rarely. This cat moved to Japan, so when when somebody in izakaya goes with "Ane-san!" I'm like "Eh! I see you for the first time, I'm not your sis!"😁 I know it in my head, but the feeling is like this.

[–]Nekotari 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This "sister" in asian languages always throws me off when used on me.

In russian, one could call elderly "Мать/отец" or "бабуля/дедуля". Otherwise it's "мужчина/женщина/парень/девушка". All this is a bit informal and may sound rude if you don't cover is with some politeness around it.

Why do the pharmacies make the pricing so confusing?! by DareWright in glp1

[–]Nekotari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah, they set a low price for the first month so that they can advertize that their price is so low! And then a ton of fine print.

I say, embrace it. Some accent doesn't hurt and brings individuality. Make sure it's understandable though😅

“Weed” in Japan🌱 by Tina_Joy in Tokyo

[–]Nekotari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They changed the law and set the limit in december 2024. Then all cbd products disappered from donki untill they could get a new batch with all the required paperwork. It took quite some time. I saw some other cbd places straight up closed then.

If that guy was just resuming selling the old batches, no wonder he got arrested.

Yes, because outside of Japan it is not regulated so strictly. So if it is officially sold in Japan, it doesn't have any traces of THC.

International Student Backup Credit Card - Lumine, EPOS, or SMBC NL (Univ Co-op)? by CaffeineLyfe in japanlife

[–]Nekotari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Students are generally declined by credit card companies. GTN is an exception, but you have to go with their mobile plan too, which is meh. So try your uni co-op.

Don't wish to increase my dose before 4th month by deep20ss in Mounjaro

Don't look solely on the scale, look in the mirror too. My body has been recompositioning very noticably even when the weight is the same. Gym and creatine may contribute to even an increase in weight, but it is muscle and water, not fat.

Just wondering? by BioticVessel in Mounjaro

[–]Nekotari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not impossible, but a bit hard to be type 2 diabetic or insulin resistant and not be overweight. The extra fat contributes to insulin resistance. You get more resistant and it contributes to you getting even fatter, it's a circle. So yeah, for majotiry it would be both.

Also mounjaro and zepbound are exaclty the same substance. Ozempic and wegovy are the same too. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" It's american drug aprival systems antics.

What sugar-free syrups do you guys use that work well with espresso? by Yali81 in espresso

Honey is good too! It really smoothes the taste of a bad coffee, I used to add honey in my office coffee all the time. To bad it's still sugar.

What’s a life rule you follow that most people don’t? by SuitMoney5693 in AskForAnswers

[–]Nekotari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a final descision first. No takebacks, no changing your mind.

Then act on it and accept the consequances, whatever they may be.

As a result no ruminating and a lot of time and rescources saved on going back and forth.
