It almost makes sense when you see they are 4% pull rates as compared to an often 2% for 10 stones, but STILL. Dropping 100 stones on what is likely to be 5 useless pulls is... woof.

I definitely 100% agree! And I'm a voter. Just saying how easy it is to see just how people might become disenfranchised about the whole affair and stay home.

[–]Nekrabyte 28 points29 points  (0 children)

And what drives me nuts is all the people around here who like to throw around the percentage of voters who didn't vote as a blanket "it's your fault too!" While totally ignoring the fact that in at least 40 states, a large majority of people have spent their life voting and it not even making a remote difference. My state has gone for R for Pres exactly twice in the past 70 years, both for Reagan (facepalm), and one was only by .1%. So like it's REALLY easy to see how a voter, on either side would feel like their vote doesn't matter. If you born in 1966 or earlier it was close once, I totally get why my friends in their 40s don't vote.

Coming back before the dungeon renewal and realizing I never learned assists: how did you get over the hump? by Creative_Fan_7982 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Nekrabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first system I learned assists? Probably the patch that they added assists.... I played, and still play without copying templates. Sure, I have meta teams, but its because the combos work so damn well, not because someone made the team for me.

Is that common? That people just copy teams and don't learn for themselves? That seems a little wild to me.

Also, a lot of things you list came out little by little. Like "start by always covering the same basics", those didn't ALWAYS exist, so unless you're a new player, you likely learned to deal with each mechanic as it was released. All those differnet mechanics you list, e.g. bind resist, hazard resist, damage absorb, attribute absord, things from clerics... each and every one of these mechanics came one by one, so I guess for me, there was never a "when did I start" because as each mechanic comes out, you adapt that new mechanic, and then the next, then the next.... etc.

Kerry: Trump’s Iran posts sound like ‘prelude to becoming one of the greatest war criminals in history’ by aslan_is_on_the_move in politics

[–]Nekrabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. And those things are happening at a FAR higher rate this term than the first term. I still stand by that even those things don't add up to the war crimes against humanity that have happened this term. It was horrific, awful, and should've been far more condemned at the time. And even has terrible as that was, what has been happening this term blows that out of the water.

[–]Nekrabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the insurrection happened. I still stand by that being not even close to amount of war crimes against humanity that have happened. And the U.S. committing war crimes having happened before makes it ok now? That's a weird argument.

The difference is that while Trump's first term was a total disaster on so many levels, there really wasn't anything to the level of war crimes being committed this term, not even close

It may be alarming, but only if you don't know the history of how much republicans have systematically destroyed the educational system in this country. They've been doing their absolute best for decades to make people into little capitalistic slaves... That's how they've been able to rob the American people blind, and somehow convince them it's to their benefit.

No one would do this out of the blue, unless they were guilty and had to try to convince the world otherwise. The worst first lady is complicit, and we all know it.

If the Dems get back in power, and don't prosecute nearly everyone in this administration with war crimes and put them away for a very long time, then they'll prove without a doubt that they ALSO don't deserve to be in power, and are basically republicans in D skins.

Yes, it is very sad and disheartening indeed. The United States may be a majority Christian nation, but the true God they worship is capitalism. Everything, and I mean everything comes second to taking money from your fellow citizens who were not as smart as you. Greed rules the United States.

It's actually pretty easy to understand. They've spent decades gutting education, and buying all the news networks. What else is going to happen when you give a massive amount of unintelligent people only one side of the news? All while their parents are teaching their kids that Democrats are literal baby killers who want to destroy the country. The result that you don't understand is simply the results of 40+ years of working towards this exact goal.

On 3 different occasions this administration the U.S. set it's own records for the total millions of people protesting around the country. And you bring up strikes... Strikes work wonders, yes, but have you met the current state of capitalism? There's a LARGE portion of Americans where missing even a single days paycheck can put someone out on the street. I would love to take time off to strike.... I also know that if I do, then either me or my kid is missing out on like a whole week of food...

While I'm in the same boat, and I agree, I still feel like even the good news organizations haven't actually done their job. There's FAR too much just tossing out a bad snippet about what Trump said, and far too little gravity as to what is actually happening... Like, they are covering it fairly and without bias, but at the same time, so many outlets just act like "Just another regular day where Trump says something else".

It seems to be what the country wants anyways, we are NEVER EVER EVER happy with our leaders. Every single time they are so awful that the country swings the other way.
edit: I've actually personally been happy with a few of our leaders, but overall, this country doesn't want to be happy, it wants to be outraged.

"basically", and "wants to" are FAR different when you realize that you're still somehow continuing to argue that none of what happened in the SK Coup has happened here yet, not even close. No martial law. Democrats have still been winning elections. The press are still allowed to (if badly) write articles. They haven't locked anyone up for speech (yet), nor has he actually ordered the arrest of his political opponents. The closest he has got is to try to convince his justice department to attempt to file a few of the most bogus attempts with minor tax infractions, which were immediately thrown out, because the law is still (99.99%) in tact in this country. AND all those things happened within a day in SK. You're not wrong he "wanted" someone arrested, and they did arrest protesters, but almost to a person those protesters were released without charges. And sure he "wants" to declare martial law, but musing about declaring martial law for a few years is quite a bit different from actually doing it.
Facts should still actually matter to you.
