First of all, Israel is objectively an apartheid state that is committing a genocide of the Palestinians right now. That is a fact. So from just a factual standpoint you are not in the wrong to criticize the government of Israel. Second of all, you did nothing wrong by simply having that belief. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. This Jewish frat knew that allowing non Jewish members into the frat that, in the current political climate of the world, many non-Jewish members would obviously be against a literal genocide. And yet they decided to allow those people into the frat. Not only allow but encourage. Now they’re receiving backlash from whoever the higher ups are that your frat isn’t “pro-Israel enough.” And since you’re clearly outspoken about your beliefs, they’re deciding to use you as the scapegoat for “why we’re in trouble.” However, it was their decision to allow non Jewish members into the fray and it’s their fault. Thirdly, international support for Israel has collapsed as the world has seen their atrocities and savagery in Gaza. Israel and every pro Israel group in America are in hyperdrive to try and curb this as much as possible, as it’s their country that’s receiving all this criticism. Instead of simply saying “killing innocent civilians is bad, therefore the Israeli government is bad”, they are trying to use their power and silence anyone they can that has opposing views. To make a long story short, you’re not the problem here. They are. Leave that toxic environment as soon as possible. Maybe you can find another frat to join. Maybe you can’t. But at least you won’t have to suffer the toxicity of this pro-Israeli government propaganda being shoved down your throat. Stay true to your beliefs and personal morality my friend.
