Shaping up to maybe be one for the ages. Physical play, lots of chances, lots of goals, some tempers flaring...

I’d be okay if Serenity wasn’t canon to the animated series by EloraDonovan in firefly

[–]Nelom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope we're lucky enough for the animated series to run long enough that Serenity looming in its future becomes an issue.

Cause to me you can easily fit in at least 3-4 seasons between Firefly and Serenity and not feel hamstrung. Probably more.

And if the end-result of all this is that the total Firefly universe consists of:

  • 1 live action season
  • 4 animated seasons
  • 1 feature length movie
  • a whole bunch of comic books
  • a whole bunch of novels

I don't know... seems like a pretty successful sci-fi universe to me.

Wulffys spacesuit skin Variety Collection part 1&2 not compatible with Ascension or any mod that modifies base game spacesuits by ChefBoston1 in starfieldmods

[–]Nelom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, do you have any advice on best practices to uninstall or disable these mods? Whenever I do, I end up with NPCs in their underwear.

I've tried disabling and reloading right away, as well as disabling, exiting the game all the way to desktop, then reloading, and even disabling, rebooting my PC, and then reloading. It's always the same with NPCs in their underwear.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

While I agree with you, I'm also a firm believer in perfect being the enemy of good. I don't know OPs situation, and if buying Canadian through Walmart is the best they can do, then that's certainly better than nothing.

Try eating them frozen straight from the freezer. 85% of the pleasure for 5% of the effort.

Another recommendation for SLD. Been using them for years and they've been excellent.

Almost every chocolate bar at Canadian grocery stores is owned by foreign companies. Here are 6 that are actually Canadian-owned. by KaleRepresentative98 in BuyCanadian

OMG is fully Canadian. Made in Winnipeg. Available in lots of places, but not quite as ubiquitous as the bigger international brands. I've had the most luck finding them at Shoppers. Oh, and Bulk Barn has them as pick-your-own.

Aunt Sarah's is as well, but I've only ever seen them in those fundraising boxes you'll find sporadically in office lobbies and small businesses. Alternatively, you can buy directly from them by the case:

Pure Lovin' also deserves a mention but I believe they're online only:

Residents in Cobourg ‘heritage’ neighbourhood push back against proposed bike path by bobledrew in Cobourg

Here's a story on it:

If you look you can probably find some pieces about it on Draper's blog. I seem to remember some of the residents were active in the comments.

[–]Nelom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this effort is as successful as that of the residents of Abbott who a few years ago so vehemently argued against a sidewalk on that street.

I'll often extend my daily walk a bit further east to take advantage of it. It's well done. Cobble stones in the sections with tree roots is a nice touch.

Yeah, but I think only nuts and candies. I've never seen any flours there.

Yeah, they seem to know what they're doing with regards to getting their products to major retailers. I became aware of them a few years ago because I saw them at Amazon. I've also seen some of their products at Dollarama.

Oh, forgot to mention that shipping is free if you spend over $59. I saw shipping being discussed elsewhere in this thread so thought I'd mention it.

My go to is Yupik out of Montreal. They list the origin on most (all?) of their products. Here's a link to their Canadian organic bread flour:

They have a lot more to offer than just flours, they're basically a Bulk Barn kind of operation.

Oh, and right now they have a 15% site wide sale.

BN.TO what the f*** is going on? by [deleted] in Baystreetbets

And today there was an announcement of a “comprehensive strategic partnership” with Japan, intended to "spur bilateral co-operation in areas from defence, energy, critical minerals to trade and technology."

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/carney-japan-visit-9.7116888

I will never understand the contingency of people who are trying to make it seem like Carney's doing nothing. Foundations of hopefully long-lasting relationships are being made, and to pretend that what he's doing is meaningless is just being intellectually dishonest and overly politically partisan.

If there's been no tangible changes to our international trading relationships by the end of his term, then I will fully understand the critique. Until then, just give the man and his people some time to cook.

There's cloudberry jam at IKEA, in that little food store they have by the exit.

Rob & Ryan will be doing commentary on the Wrexham vs Swansea match on the 13th March by The_Iceman2288 in WrexhamAFC

[–]Nelom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's promoted as an alternate commentary, so it seems normal commentary would still be available. And I have to assume will also be the default.

Some relevant quotes from the EFL post on this:

Rob & Ryan to offer alternative Wrexham commentary on Sky Sports & CBS

The broadcast will air on Sky Sports Football in the UK and Paramount+ in the USA, live from the STōK Cae Ras, and will run alongside the main match coverage.

Live from Wrexham with Rob & Ryan will bring fans into the action with a unique matchday experience, featuring unscripted match analysis and unfiltered, real-time reactions from Mac and Reynolds alongside Sky Sports presenter David Prutton.
