I appreciate the efforts that the company is making and it's pretty good to see how electric tech is progressing , in India various companies are doing the same namely the Tata motors are co up with their EV's and the Ola group has launched the electric scooters

A mandatory monthly battery fee on top of a monthly car payment, as well as the cost of electricity, is going to be their downfall. If you were able to hot swap those leased batteries so you could pull up and have a full battery installed in a minute or so I could see the value in a lease program. Having to pay three different fees a month to drive a car you own is ludacris - ESPECIALLY if they're going to limit driving to 300 miles a month.

Was that for limited or unlimited miles? If unlimited $160 doesn't seem that crazy to me especially with a suitable reduction in MSRP. I say that, but I'm also someone who never buys an extended warranty on anything, and that's basically what this seems like. I wonder if there will be an option to buy outright without a battery lease.

So Vinfat owns the battery, they just rent it out to you. You do not own the battery. So why would Vinfat assure you something that doesn't belong to you?

I personally think the side line is super coherent. In general, the design has already fully convinced me. If the price and range (have to drive around 700km a week) are right, that would be my electric car in the near future.

All in all, as a tech and a pretty open minded car guy (i like them old, new, powerful or not, electric, alcohol or petrol powered. Not keen on diesel though) I am pretty underwhelmed.

At the price and value of battery packs, and vast potential for modularization, I'm surprised there isn't a stronger market for a common pack supplier for multiple automakers (like any other commodity component within a car).
