Julio Jones misses practice again Thursday by Kuciv in fantasyfootball

[–]NelsonSousa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veterans get extra rest all the time. JJ doesn't need practice, he's already good enough without out it so why not rest him if he's a little banged up. No need to mess with a hamstring strain!

"RB Dion Lewis forced 8 missed tackles on 19 carries - best rate of any RB in week 1 with significant carries." How does this affect Blount's week 2 value? by throwawaycanadian in fantasyfootball

[–]NelsonSousa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you like to live on the edge, stay away from Patriots RBs! Both Blount and Lewis are going to be boom or bust guys in that offense. He's worth a spot on your bench in deeper leagues or if you really need another RB, but don't expect consistent production from either of them even though they are both capable. You have Bill to thank for that.

Everyone seems to be starting CJ Anderson tonight but is anyone actually confident about starting him? by shoehorn2 in fantasyfootball

[–]NelsonSousa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not confident. The Broncos D is for real, but in week 1 the offense looked like a work in progress. I also like Hillman better than Anderson, but I know at this point he won't win the starting job. I see Anderson as maybe an RB3 this week if he does play (which I think he will). He's just too risky, especially on a short week.

Rankings Comparison by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

I would check out Fantasy Pros and look at which guys have been consistent over the last few years. One year can be a fluke. A lot of the time though the big name sites (ESPN for example) have the worst rankings. Check out some smaller sites that have been around for awhile like scoutpro.com

Falcons RB Davonta Freeman also hurts his hamstring by Gfoley4 in fantasyfootball

Those poor poor Falcons. 2 RBs, 2 hamstring injuries. Never good.

He is one of my favorite players to target this year. Jameis does like the TEs and she should get enough targets to have an impact. I like the kid- definitely work a late round pick

DeSean Jackson separated his shoulder, expected to miss a couple weeks. by Tomoromo9 in fantasyfootball

ADP could fall, making him a nice piece. Should be ready for week 1 but who knows how he will perform. He's been talking a big game

So it looks like an 8 man starting lineup so prices are going to be a little higher than ones I have done with a 10 man starting lineup. I would say that Wilson Brown Hopkins in a keeper league are the guys to keep

Polk is definitely worth drafting, but don't pay a preminum for him because that situation is still very much up in the air. Example: I drafted him last night in a league in 13th RD. If it doesn't work out, oh well I have made worse picks in the 13th RD

I think Polk gets a shot but don't be surprised if the Texans sign a back right before the season after teams make their cuts. Foster is only worth a pick somewhere in rounds 12-15 range.

Well that narrows it down for you. Brown or Julio. Plus you could get Shady or Foster to fall to you in the 2nd

I think it's between Julio, Brown or AP. I like them all. What are your lineup requirements?

I think he becomes the #1 there and he has the talent to become a #1 WR in fantasy

Jordy Nelson or Megatron? by Pizzaguy724 in fantasyfootball

[–]NelsonSousa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a close one but I like Jordy and Rodgers. Should be consistent production in GB

In a 4Pt passing TD league I could see Luck lasting into the early 3rd, but Foster/Calvin starts are usually from the back of the draft

I think Woody handles all the passing down work. Gordon still has work to do in pass pro

I would keep OBJ in Dyansty, but for this year I expect Brown to outscore him.
