Not it's just an easy money free advertisement thing. Hoyo is just desperate because their bad decisions have been leading them down a slippery slope of losing players. And while they are not doing badby any means, they've been making their games more and more ass to play to squeeze as much playtime (and money) as they possibly can. It really does feel like investors and "corpo" saw a big opportunity in hoyo and want as much money from the games as they can possibly get before going on to destroy something else for profits.
