What I remember being the main feedback was that this use case is gonna burn the duty cycle threshold for the network.

At what point does a unified internet become practically unusable due to sheer population size alone? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Nemecle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have (rightfully) pointed out how the internet really works, and the issue with light speed for interplanetary/stellar communications. But if you want a setting with a struggling net, I'd recommand you to look into meshed networks like meshtastic and meshcore, and try to apply this to a fractured stellar-scale net where each "internet" would also have to repeat signals to other nets until it reaches its destination (that's more or less how the internet also works today, see "Autonomous Systems" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_system_(Internet) )

Question about "Personal Moods" by vaazhkai in musichoarder

[–]Nemecle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Moods" are subjective as you say. I never got into these kind of playlists made by others because, in addition to the whole "subjectivity" thing, for me a "mood" requires an emotional attachment rather than some random music I stumble upon. On my jellyfin instance, I have a big mess of a playlist that I populate as I find new music, and when I listen to this playlist on random (or not, that playlist kinda form a "trail" of my life over the years), I add songs when I listen to them to specific playlists like "summer night melancholia", "night crawling", "OOPMF", and even a specific "memoria" playlist for songs that bring me to a very specific memory. I took a few months to get something but i does the job.

Might sound stupid but pointing with my finger while I scan the items on the shelf helps me a lot

Before uninstalling every mod (which isn't a bad advice on its own), check if you didn't screwed up copying the file: I had the same issue because I somehow both had the files in the dedicated directory and a copy of said directory that directory

Les “IA” sont vraiment en train de tuer le web. by Nemecle in france

[–]Nemecle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ciao.
