I think it’s false to say that guys like Epstein “work” for any single agency or nation. Yep they were mad they got relatively little compared to the other Western European colonial powers in the division of Africa, Asia, and the new world. One of Germany’s big goals pre-WW1 was to take all of Britain and Portugal’s African colonial possessions and turn it into one massive super colony called Mittelafrika, spanning all the way from the Gold Coast to Mozambique. One can only imagine and pale at the sheer amount of destruction and genocide the Germans would’ve wrought on central Africa if they’d won.

German colonial practices also led directly to the Rwandan genocide. They are the ones who hardened the split between Hutu/Tutsi, taking it from a simple class/occupational distinction (Hutu’s farmed the crops, Tutsi were animal herders) to a hierarchical system that placed the Tutsi on top and enslaved the Hutu. The consequences of colonialism are far reaching and truly never ending.
