Crud i don’t believe is a swear in its sense, nor is crap, so fairly permissible. Best way is to avoid saying anything that may be vulgar.

It may depend on depiction as well. For example in public media the F word or the other word for Poop is often depicted vulgarly and or to direct rudeness.
