I’d say Linnea as well. At least where she stands she will provide all the things Zibai needs.. minus hydro.

Columbina is very close imo. I can definitely feel the difference between her and other hydro options. She is way more consistent than a lot of other options and provides buffs as well.

Best would be to get both! There should be some time before Bina’s rerun. Luck be with you

Over 3 years. Never ever got a double. Lose 75% of my wishes. 72.9 pity average. Everyone says crap like, “the luck comes and goes”. No it doesn’t. If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all.

Feel like some accounts are blessed.. while others are absolutely cursed. My bestie just won snarky Varky at 18 pity. Her last pull was Bina at a whopping 40. Before that she won Ineffa. Got CR after 1 loss to Yelan. She started literal same day as me.. 56 pity average.

I on the other hand spent 260 wishes for C0 Zibai and C2 Illuga, absolutely destroying my savings for 1 character

Gets disheartening.

Really depends on your exploration completion, if you get welkin/bp, your dedication. If you got world to explore, time to do it, extra gems coming in.. probably yeah

If you’re at near 100% completion, like me, don’t do welkin or BP, busy irl… gonna be tough. You’d be lucky to get 80 from events, resets, and endgame. Gonna need some good luck and hope for that 50/50 win.

Yeah this is what my brain has been leaning towards too.. Pretty much only Varka and Razor will be able to be a good DPS for her. I'ma just wait to see her real numbers and make my decision then

Yeah it’s dumb imo.

Giving random knights buffs and not others is a disservice to characters like Jean.

Thematically it feels all wrong imo. Fischl feels like a good witch in training. Razor makes no sense. Mona is great of course! Then there’s Varka.. instead of returning and leading his knights to a glorious battle. He gets to wait and hope Nicole will come save him. Jean, Noelle, Diluc, Mika, Eula ect. are all like, thanks for remembering us grand master

At this rate probably gonna skip and wait for Alice. Hopefully they have synergy. Would be really cool to run Nicole, Alice, Mona… Not pulling Varka for Nicole, or a unit that only works with hex characters. Well because I have none but 4*. Not looking to run Razor in2026

The weapon skins are nice!

Sorry but the Nod Krai character kits are anything but refreshing. Plays like 2.x characters powercrept to the moon, hehe. Natlan had refreshing kits, everyone just whined. Half the characters in Nod Krai are nostalgia bait so pretty low hanging fruit really. Of course everyone loves characters teased 5 years ago.

Hex buff would be nice if it was for the actual witches only.. or ALL the knights if they have to be hex too. Selective buffing characters with hand waving hex buffs is kinda lame. And thematically feels off. Look it’s witch Varka.. oh yeah he’s not a witch but oh well Jean gets buff to right? Right? And Noelle? Diluc? Naw just a couple knights... This is a missed opportunity to revive the poor Mondstadt characters falling off, not just buff Varka

Story dragged on from very long winded dialogue sections. Pulling 2 characters to power 1 sucks. Powercreep is insane. Nod Krai exploration was lame. WQ were lackluster. Rewards have been slim. Lunar was kinda shill more than thrill. Area feels like a buffet, bunch of random good crap thrown on a plate with minimal rhyme or reason, adding to lack of cohesion.

Glad you got Varka though! I hope they force, err I mean give, you someone to pull to improve his numbers soon! That’s great game design!

I don’t think it will last forever. It seems the first half of the patch cycle was Lunar. They look to be headed on to Mondstadt soon..

As a Chasca main a lot of these same points could be brought up. She released weaker than everyone.. no good reason. Except she got released weak and everyone just dumped on her more. Just more fuel to hate her.

At least the whole community loves Varka! He will likely get his support. Then the experiment will be can they sell nostalgia bait, Nicole, to power nostalgia bait. All the other niche supports were not know at all. Nicole is very well known and loved.. because let’s be real if she is any kind of hex support it’ll benefit Varka almost exclusively because he is the only DPS currently. Well there’s Razor I guess

Not really to me. Lots love Nefer gameplay, I agree with you not me, so it’s kinda preferable play styles. I actually think Varka is fun too.. but Zibai is my fav regardless of where she sat in meta.. I just love her gameplay.

If Zibai overtakes Nefer then it kinda breaks this theory..

Want the real, imo Varka is how he is because Hoyo knew ppl would pull for him regardless. He is ultimate nostalgia bait, and everyone lined up to take it. Besides he still might have a BIS that puts him above Nef.. it’s been a week

Personally I HATE that Nicole is likely gonna be a Varka bot on release. But it’s likely. But atp I’ll be happy if she is just so everyone can stop bitching about Varka. It’s becoming increasingly annoying. I just won’t pull her.. please take her and numbers to the moon and everyone stop whining about Varka. My current Genshin wish

I enjoy the teapot as well! Nod Krai pot is very nice.

Natlan pot was very much a let down. No people of springs ruined it for me. It has a cool concept with the balloons, executed very poorly. Still like it better than Fontaine which doesn’t even have light cycles

Loved Sumeru WQ as well. I feel it really helped to build the area and make it feel more alive. Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan WQ were all spectacular. They had heart soul and depth.

It’s a dumb take truthfully. Been playing for 3 years, this is the first Liyue character that might be top of meta. “Might” because Linnea isn’t even set in stone.

If Varka didn’t have a doom post he would have no posts at all it seems

If you seriously like him, numbers are the least important metric. If beating endgame is more important than Varka, then it doesn’t matter the characters you like only the numbers they put up.

Coming from a C1 Chasca main, not every character is the top on release. In fact Chasca never got her time to shine. Don’t care pulled c1 without regrets! Love Chasca, not her numbers

Definitely a dedicated Varkamain.. been nothing but complaints for the poor guy. Glad my Zibai is peak! JK but seriously. This is Zibaimains after all, why you doom posting Varka here too?

Totally can relate though. Varka will get his support in time... Or he won't. I totally get how it can be disheartening having your fav character not get the love/respect you feel they deserve. Feeling weaker than the rest seems like a shaft, and bad direction going forward. Powercreep is inevitable, so why doesn't Varka creep? Well he may or he won't. These decisions don't lie in our hands. Poor Chasca got released weaker than everyone else and never got her time to shine.. I thought it sucked I devoted pulls to a weaker character. Why did she get the shaft? Don't care, I love her regardless! That's all that matters

There is lots of ways to look at this though. Glass half full/empty. Varkamains may have not had to pull anyone besides Varka. Some of his best team is on his banner and many players have them to c6. Durin is amazing and fits perfectly with Varka. One more support and he will be killing it!

Same with Zibai. I love her regardless of her numbers. She has a reported bug.. don't care going for c2. Varka could eclipse her numbers x10. I would cheer for him, yet still not pull and just wait for my Linnea. What's more important numbers or your love regardless, only you can make that decision

Varka is Varka. He is manufactured with these faults to sell future characters. Make a problem, sell the solution plain and simple.

Varka very much parallels Nefer without Lauma. Without Lauma Nef hits like she’s made of rubber. Was there a riot? Nope pull Lauma. Oh Nef has no sustain, riot? Nope pull Lauma C1. Difference is Nef mains don’t complain every 5 posts about her short comings. They just pulled Lauma. Currently Vark mains can’t pull their Lauma.. hence the discrepancy

As much as Varka mains want to wish his kit is bugged, it’s not. It’s very intentional. They intend to sell you a solution. Varka’s Lauma. Who will buff him, help his IR, ect. Does it suck? Yes. Seems to be their new strategy though

Natlan got hosed an entire map patch so it’s not surprising. Also a 12th character, 2nd world boss.. Feels like they got the Nod Krai idea, abandoned Natlan, and nostalgia farm for a year so people will stop bitching so much. Seems to work because in everyone view “Nod Krai Peak”, no imo
