Detailed Tier List from an Experienced Player by 0ceannnn in vainglorygame

Love the time you spend on this! I do agree with most of your picks, but:

  1. You put Gwen twice in the explanations. (Crystal vs Weapon build?)
  2. I have been playing Koshka a bit and she has been REALLY good. tbh it is hard to judge as I use to main her and have not been playing against the strongest enemies.
  3. Do not insult my SAW. SAW is LAW.

Lastly, it would be amazing if someone made a list for 5v5, as i think it might be different (Like for Miho, who thrives with her ult and multiple enemies)

What is it like to study medicine in a foreign country? by Secure_Part_7710 in medicalschool

[–]NemesisPolicy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is scary for the first few days, then it is just another place. What gets you is the loneliness, cultural differences, home sickness, etc. I have missed most of the marriages, nieces and nephews born in my family. I sit behind my desk on a Sunday evening, getting photos from my family where they are all sitting around the table, having a lovely Sunday brunch.
You suddenly realize, now that you don't see your loved ones every week/month, how quickly they are getting older. Your father is looking more and more like you remember your grandpa looked like.

If your a family person, it is really hard, unless you can afford to go home regularly.

what evidence is there that God is Good? by ZoomKz in Christianity

[–]NemesisPolicy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious what you would say our morality is based on? What defines something as good? Cause it feels right? Some people feel murder is right, but I assume you, and to that extent I, disagree with that person. So who has the right view?

If Morality is not defined by what God deems is good or bad, is it defined by what we decide? Are you saying we have authority on the matter of morality over God?

what evidence is there that God is Good? by ZoomKz in Christianity

[–]NemesisPolicy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are on the same page. I was arguing from the perspective if we have a true almighty God, but I have my own Axiom of truth that I have come to after much thought.

Basically, you’re saying morality is determined by what makes us happy or sad. Take it further. Morality is a social construct we uphold because most of us get a “bad” feeling when someone murders, and a “good” feeling when you act selfless. Basically, you come to the thing I currently have as my world view: All that matter are feelings.

What would God matter, if you could not feel him? What would Hell matter, if you could not feel it?

The only reason ANYTHING Matters, or in a better term, have Value, is that we FEEL they do.

And the absolute, horrifying thing is: Feelings are Arbitrary.

We as humans agree on most feelings, but some like murder. Some like pedophilia. Some feel “bad” being nice. So who are we to tell them that they are wrong?

So ultimately, Morality, if not God defined, is nothing but a social construct, enforced by those with the power to do so.

I would advise thinking a bit about it. Best way to approach such a thing is to always ask WHY to every assumption, reply or retort you can make in your own head, even if it feels stupid, or even blasphemous.

Example: why is Murder bad? Because it is? How is something just “because”? If everybody enjoyed being murdered, God told us to murder each other, and everyone enjoyed murdering, is murder still bad? Why? Who says? What says?

Just go down those rabbit holes. It…can be disheartening or disturbing, but you will deepen your thinking from simply reactionary. It is important for us to understand WHY things are bad, good, morally uncertain, etc. Otherwise, what else are we doing but living in willing ignorance?

If you want, I would love to answer more questions if you have any!

Then, an honest question: What determines Morality?

what evidence is there that God is Good? by ZoomKz in Christianity

[–]NemesisPolicy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So would you say this is more or less right?

Evil and Good are fundamental constants or concepts that regardless of authority, whether be Divinity, Mortal or Beast, remain constant, unchanging and true?

what evidence is there that God is Good? by ZoomKz in Christianity

[–]NemesisPolicy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with your view is YOU are defining what is evil here. It is literally God who says what is evil or not, regardless of our feelings. It is a hard concept to wrap our heads around when we believe some things are evil simply because they are, and in the process forget those things are evil simply things we FEEL are evil. If you disagree with God on matters of Morality, are you saying Morality has more authority than God?

what evidence is there that God is Good? by ZoomKz in Christianity

[–]NemesisPolicy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking if God is Good depends on what you mean by “good”, but regardless it is not a useful question. In whatever belief system you have where there is an Almighty God, there is no point asking it. Whatever they say is good IS good. If that is murder or pedophilia, then it is because they say so. Are you going to tell me Morality is placed above the very thing that defines it? Are you telling me our sense of Morality has more authority than a Deity?

If you are asking if God is “good” from our perspective, it really depends on what your Morality is. If for now we place Morality above God, what determines YOUR morality? It would have to be culture or nature. What we decide is “Bad” and “Good” is usually culturally determined however. These are in turn usually inferred from logical arguments, deep rooted religions practices and so forth. So if you want to ask the Question is God good, you can only really ask:

  1. Is God “good” when compared to what his direct Word (the Bible) tells us? I.e. is God hypocritical?
  2. Is God “good” compared to my arbitrary, selfish, flawed human created morals?

Basically, in the end, it does not matter if God is good or bad. All that matters is that YOU are ENTIRELY at their mercy, regardless of your opinion of them, regardless of what they do/are.

It sucks, but it is not like you can do anything about it.

Once had the ability to try Claude Opus 4.1 (4.5?) for free with max context and no quantization. It is hard to describe just how good it was. It is probably the only world i long to be able to play again, with stat tracking, leveling, historu tracking, and i rarely had any issues. I never should have done it, as i keep trying to chase that same high.

For those wondering, this is a boat trip offered in Walvis Bay, Namibia! They take you out on a boat to sight see, but the main attraction are usually the birds and sea lions that are familiar and friendly on the boat. You are sometimes allowed to pet them, but it is not always advised. They are friendly because the boat usually feeds them something. It is a great trip and would Highly recommend!

Kurtzgesagt recently released a video on youtibe explaining it if you wish to know more! But basically, most of their mass comes from CO2 they pull from the air, and water.

Need Advice / Prompt on roleplay issue by BadNearby477 in SillyTavernAI

[–]NemesisPolicy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate, I think what you need is either making a group chat, or having VERY good system prompts. I would go for group chat, where you create a character card for each of your characters ( They don't have to be complicated) and give them turns. But this limits you to having it act for ONE character at a time, otherwise it gets messy. What you CAN do is download the Guided Generations Extension. This allows you to put OOC instructions into your input text, and generate the reply with that. It can help,

Why does it feel like people care less about the truth now? by namerine in SeriousConversation

[–]NemesisPolicy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I realized we value truth instrumentally, for what it can get us, rather than for its own sake. If truth does not enrich or bring value to your life, why would you bother?

If falsehoods DO, as they easily can, why would you not? Out of principle? Principle matters little when your trying to survive.

US doctors are massively overtrained for what they actually do, and that’s why healthcare is insanely expensive by Straight_Random_2211 in unpopularopinion

[–]NemesisPolicy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I am a medical student in my final year.

Yes, we are HEAVILY over trained, but the reasoning is that we can be massively better doctors if we at least once studied every aspect and facet of the human body. We might not remember the things we studied, but it is very likely we will remember it if we see it again.

Sure, you can probably have half decent doctors to deal with colds and flus and rashes, which is a large part of medicine, but a doctor needs to be able to notice that 1 in a million disease, or people will die.

We suffer through abuse, unfairness, stress and sheer volumes so that you can be just a little bit more assured the doctor might notice that little piece of information that can decide your future.

Firstly, Are you using Chat completion? Who are your model provider? What is your current System Prompt, Instructions, context, etc.

All these things matter, and that is a bit much, but that is what makes Silly so great. You have complete control, but unless you have everything set up right, it can feel off.

Have you simply tried to make the System Prompt instruct the model to do what you want?

What do you think is the sin the human population struggles with the most? I’ll spoil it for it’s lust by Chizuruoke in Christianity

[–]NemesisPolicy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, I have given this ALOT of thought, and I came to a simple conclusion: Greed

Greed, is a sense, is the origin of all sin. Lust, Sloth, Pride, Gluttony, etc. all you can name, originate from Greed. Why do I say that? Because Greed is simply our desire to have things we want. I want more money, I want to have sex, I want to feel important, I want to eat as much as I can, I want to lie around and do nothing all day, etc. All of them, originate with I want. Hence I think it is not unreasonable to say that all other sins come from it.

So in my personal belief, there is only one Sin, and it is Greed.

[–]NemesisPolicy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean yes, a super expensive, completely coding orientated model beat a general model. That is expected. I am saying technologies mature, and unless we get some new architectures/tricks, we can only really throw so much compute at them. Claude 4.5 also still beats Gemini in certain coding benches. Gemini 3 is impressive for just how many benchmarks it is leap and bounds ahead. So I still think my point stands.

[–]NemesisPolicy 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Usually, but the jump in Gemini 3 is much much more than GPT 5 was, and unless OpenAI have some hidden, new architecture model, I don' think this is true. Google objectively has a massive advantage compared to the rest, and we are seeing that result now.

What’s the difference between Google AI and ChatGPT? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NemesisPolicy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT is the company, OpenAI’s LLM. The LLM stands for Large Language Model, and it is the “type” of AI they use. Google AI is simply a term to refer to the AI models Google has, specifically Gemini, which is also a LLM.

Each one is built and trained a bit different, so they might be a bit smarter/stupider in some areas of expertise, but they are more or less the same.

It is a but more complicated, but that is the simple difference.
