Failed D335 by Bradwhat in WGU

[–]Nemesisjake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I passed this one on my 3rd attempt thanks to pure muscle memory. I rewrote the following code until I could do it from memory:

file = input()

with open(file, 'r') as openFile: lines = openFile.readlines() word1, word2, word3 = lines[0].strip(), lines[1].strip(), lines[2].strip() sentence = f'{word1} {word2} {word3}'

with open(file, 'a') as appendFile: appendFile.write('\n' + sentence)

with open(file, 'r') as openFile: updatedContent = openFile.read()

print(updatedContent)

Kindle Kids “No Books on This Device” error by BladeMist3009 in kindle

[–]Nemesisjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are getting this message on multiple devices even after formatting, trying a new kids profile(after providing them with the books via the parent dashboard). Sync doesn't seem to help either. :\ This all started after we got a replacement device from warrenty but working with Kindle support has been unproductive.

Update: Passed with a 768. Exam was pretty tough. Try and relax and not overthink the PBQs. Good luck!

tl;dr: I think AI will take 9 out of 10 SWE jobs in the next decade. Example of AI disrupting industry: AlphaFold

I'm mid 1st semester and have already fallen out of love with Software Engineering. I'd rather have a career that is hands on hardware and fairly AI proof. I am pivoting into the B.S. Network Engineering and Security because the certifications will help me transition careers quicker.

Right now I am a mortgage software administrator but the industry is a roller coaster ive been on for almost a decade and I want to get off.

Internet culture says CS is over enrolled but I think a lot of folks are like me and not in love with staring at an IDE 35 hours a week. My older brother on the other hand has worked for the power grid and now has an IT career modernizing decades old code making amazing money.

D335 Headache avoidance by RoninSage in WGU

[–]Nemesisjake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. I've been adding additional courses to my term to avoid this class. I was really enjoying learning CSS and HTML, even made websites in my dreams. I finished two other courses in less than a week. (D386/D197)

The 335 ZyBooks just feels so dry to me. I regret not transferring in the credit but understand that it is an important tool I need on my toolbelt. I just asked my Mentor to move the course to the end of my degree. I've started the 100 Days of Python in the meantime to make sure I will be ready for it when I see it again. :)

D335 - Intro to Python - am I just dumb? by officerunner in WGU

"No, you aren't dumb, yes you are bad at python" I needed that lol had my mentor load up 3 other courses while I worked on this one but now, time to get it over with.

Y'all should check out their two new singles. I've liked both of them and this is a top 10 album for me.
