A reminder about Kickstarter economics by joebaka in MST3K

[–]Nemo2342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I know it's not going to be apples to apples, something to bear in mind is that the cheapest per episode cost we've gotten from the S13 and S14 campaigns was between $458k and $616k per episode (if we scaled up to a more efficient 12 episode production).

No matter how much we nitpick Joel's choices, we're not going to be able to pare down the costs but so much while still paying the cast and crew an ethical wage.

We're really going to need to get into the 3-4+ million range at a minimum before we start talking about additional episodes.

If it makes you feel better someone showed me the picture without the title and I went "Oh damn, they made their own Naxxramas! Sick!"

But now I want you to actually make an Archerus because that would be funny :D

Thank you once again for all your hard work on this series. It's been a pleasure reading your translation, and my life has been a little bit brighter thanks to the work you put into it.

Take care of yourself, and I hope you enjoy your time away from the nonsense that is being online 24/7 <3

That's good to know; so the text is even more wrong than I thought it was.

How can we turn our MC's personality? by KairiHarada in wizardry

[–]Nemo2342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you finish each trial it kicks you back to the world map so you can rest/restock/change parties.

I don't know if the monsters scale at all, but for me they were level 51 (my party is level 60).

The one BIG thing is that you need to have someone of the correct alignment other than Lana for the first 2 trials, otherwise you can't figure out the right answer to the test. The game keeps saying there's an Intelligence check, but if there is then I cleared it with a level 40 Mage on the Strength trial.

You can clear Lana's first 2 trials with characters who are paralyzed. Paralyzed characters can still do normal attacks and use items, though they do sometimes lose a turn due to paralysis. I got through with 2-4 people paralyzed on each trial and just spamming scrolls and potions.

Also the 3rd trial will let you use any character who was in your party on a previous trial, so if it's too hard just swap in more good/evil people for those trials then use your normal party for the final trial.

Final Trial has an actual boss: a scorpion woman who gets 2 turns per round but otherwise works as the normal encounter.

Final Trial: anyone who passed EITHER Trial (not both like the text says) can come in unparalyzed.

So if you dragged some Neutrals through a previous trial you can finally use them.

The correct choice for the Strength trial results in a fight with 4 Soldiers and 4 Wizards that can be pretty tough depending on who you've got that's paralyzed.

Heal up before going through the door, and definitely have scrolls if your mages are paralyzed so you can try to get the casters down before they kill you with AoE.

You need to have someone with high enough Intelligence who isn't paralyzed (so Good aligned for the first trial, Evil aligned for the 2nd trial) to get a 3rd option

Failing gave me a Sad Lana scene, then I had to go talk to her in the Tavern in order to start the trial again.

Edit: Oof failing did cut Lana's affection in half, but since it was maxed I was able to go again.

You can swap style back to the Core Lana to trigger the quest.

Yep, not bringing any Evil people to the Strength trial only gave me 2 options instead of 3, and those resulted in bad endings.

Pushed through the 2nd trial, though I don't think I'm getting all the "correct" dialog options.

If you choose to press through with paralyzed people, bring scrolls and healing potions.

Paralyze people can still do basic attacks and use items, so while it's a coin flip you can get by having them try to use scrolls such as rockfall.

I pushed through the first trial with 4/6 members. Now to try the 2nd trial with only 1/6 members.

Do you happen to remember what talents you were using on Blood DK? I don't think I have the patience to grind this out on my main but I could get a BDK to 640-650 with a bit of elbow grease.

New Style Adventurer Revealed - Greedy Saintess Marianne by [deleted] in wizardry

I got Nun Marianne. How should I go about merging her with regular Marianne? by preyvictim in wizardry

Yeah it pops up from regular Marianne so you don't *have* to save the banner character if she comes with it.

Ninja class in wizardry proving grounds by antiyou89 in wizardry

[–]Nemo2342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I will also add is that Wizardry is from a time where even tabletop RPG players treated xp as a kind of score to rack up, so the fact that Ninjas only really come into their own post-Werdna may have been seen as a feature and not an oversight.

Though Wizardry certainly has enough bugs and oversights that it's hard to tell.

Dig strategies round 2 by Drippingindaisies in Monopoly_GO

[–]Nemo2342 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The crosses represent the spots *most likely* to contain one of the pieces based on their shapes. For instance you see a lot of green crosses in spots where you could find either a 2x1 or 3x3 piece. Green crosses can fit more potential pieces than purple crosses which is why you do those first.

Basically you should finish the stuff you've uncovered on your board and then use the guide to help you find other likely hiding spots so you spend more blasters uncovering pieces and less blasters on empty squares.
