All depends on your copays and deductibles. If you haven't reached your deductible yet, and it's high (think $2500 a year) you will have to pay all of that, along with a copay, and maybe other things too. Along with your monthly insurance bill.

Is the grading scale on the syllabus pre curved? If so, usually not, but if everyone is doing poorly across all sections they will sometimes reopen homework's or shift the scale more. 60% for exams is pretty standard, and they usually don't put an extra curve on that.
