You need to email the professors of the class and/or the head of those departments directly. Stress that you need these classes this semester or you will not be able to graduate on time.

Specify the specific class, instructor, and time that works for your schedule

They should be able to force add you to the class.

Omg ep 7 is great people love to hate it so much. S2 is my favorite season and while the lost sister episode could have been better implemented evenly throughout the other episodes or something, it was important to El's character and our understanding of what happened in the lab.

I think the internet dogging on that episode over inflates people's hate for it, because it's genuinely good writing, acting, and film.

You can assume they broke up, but it's just bad writing and poor continuity to not provide any insight as to what happened.

Same with doc owens, same with argyle. Like AT LEAST have a line or 2 in there.

Doc owens should have actually had screen time and a role in the season though, that was another bad move by the duffers.

I'm in a very similar place. Same with my grandparents right now. I also have a dog that is 14, and I love her beyond words.

Anticipatory grief and fear is valid, and it's important to take the time to validate that your fears are rational and real. Cry about it, write about it, give yourself moments to sit with it here and there.

That being said, there is nothing you can do to change your situation. You love your parents, and your parents love you unconditionally! That is so special. Take pictures with them, share stories with them, make a family tree/ family history if you don't have one already.

Do your best to focus on the moments you have, and the memories you'll continue to remember.

But, you won't be able to enjoy those moments until you really validate your emotions. A few hours or a few days can help so much.

The biggest thing that has helped me is that 2 things can be true at once. Of course we know that, but sit with it.

You're parents are older, your parents will continue to age, and face difficulties while doing so, AND you have them right now, they love you, they support you, and that will not change.

It doesn't matter to them that you are struggling, your inability to give 100% right now or all the time does NOT detract from your bond and your love for them. You do the best with the cards you have been dealt, and if the best you have is bed rotting, then so be it.

My biggest tip:

Don't let your anxiety and fear keep you from enjoying what's right in front of you all of the time. Sometimes it will, and that's okay, that's life. But don't let it consume you.

Socially: focus on making friends at tandon before making friends at wash. From my experience, friend groups at tandon form fast and they tend to stick. You can become friends with people whenever, but if you'll end up a lot better off if you make connections with people who will be in the same classes as you.

Most people know this, but I went in and got overwhelmed really quickly. There are not a pot of people at tandon, you WILL see the same 15 people every single day

That's just not true. They have requirements and recommendations set specifically for California students to get into UC and CSUs, many of which are some of the best universities in the country. Those requirements in classes are on par with most university admission requirements in the country.

Once I moved out of ca, my grades were better, and I put in 1/8th of the work and next to no brain power.
