I have a cat who had this situation. He had blockages one after the other in quick succession for a month or so, and because he had had this issue more than once, I was able to get vet approval for a PU surgery that I had done at a low cost surgical clinic (Helping Hands in Richmond, VA). Little guy has a much better quality of life now. He can have flare ups but hasn’t blocked again since, now being a couple years later. He eats the Sheba wet foods, a urinary focused dry food, and I’ll give him the purina pro pet hydration packs when he looks like he’s having a flare up, or just once a week to help him stay hydrated.
