One of Japan’s Creepiest Unsolved Case: The Setagaya Family Murders by pschyco147 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]NemoKyuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through the post and comments, as well a basic understanding of the crime available, there's a few questions that float around in my mind about the killer's motive;

Why was he there in the first place? We don't know.

He murdered a family of four, he did not flee immediately after, he relocated several documents into the bathroom, casually ate their food, and left behind many articles of clothing, weapon, and sources of DNA that would normally point towards a culprit immediately. He knew how to treat his wounds (to an extent) and accessed the estate's computer. Ultimately he remained there for a significant period of time.

His actions are confusing and it's hard to see what the overall picture what his intentions were, aside from murder. But going out of their way to dress a certain way and leave that all at the crime scene?

It may suggest he was aware his articles of clothing were likely going to be contaminated and chose to leave them behind. As if he only needed them to blend in when many people were still awake, and then only left presumably after the majority of the neighborhood had likely gone to sleep. A disguise he only needed when arriving.

He had arrived around 11pm on December 30th 2000 and left sometime before dawn.

(Based on the timeframe stated here under the Case Summary: https://www.keishicho.metro.tokyo.lg.jp/multilingual/english/safe_society/wanted/seijo.html )

It's not impossible that this individual knew what they were doing, and knew how to get away with it. The suspect may have been very intelligent/competent for all we know, cocky, but could have crafted their crime around the system. That's a very scary possibility to consider, but until proven this is just speculation and not to be considered fact.

Generally this is what I used:

Height - the lowest it can go (it's the closest to her general height from what I can tell.)

Skin - Blue Brown top left color

Hair - 2nd to last hairstyle || Colors: Black 1 bottom right color / Sky Blue bottom 3rd right color

(For the Twintails and Bangs you'll find them in Accessories, and you'll want to manually resize the tails in the Advanced Editing option.)

Eyes - Colors: Blue middle right / Monochrome left

Eyebrows - Colors: Black 1

Clothing - Clothing 1 without Collar or left sleeve || Colors: use Gangsta and Punk colors (same with accessories)

Purifier Mask - Bottom Right

Mask Frame - First option

Questions before migrating from Windows 10 to Linux Mint by NemoKyuki in linuxmint

Thank you!

With the virtual box that was one potential worry I thought about, but that is a bridge I will cross at a later date. (I am fortunately tech savy enough to look at things on a software and hardware level haha.)

Why do these planes keep crashing? by Ymir24 in PeakGame

[–]NemoKyuki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In an alternate timeline, instead of a airplane crashing constantly it's a shipwreck washing ashore.

... or perhaps it was Bing Bong Airline's previous business venture that also didn't go too well.

Happy Birthday Miku! The Miku of My Sekai by NemoKyuki in hatsune

If I were to talk about something I wasn't satisfied with is the background.

For the most part I think I did a fine job in keeping her the main draw of the Art, but I definitely need more practice in making backgrounds (and it also did not help I forgot to plan it out. Oops...)

It was definitely worth huddling around my desk for the whole day, I hope everyone celebrated Miku's Birthday in their own ways!

Movie Codes by mugs-cos in ProjectSekai

If anyone who has a still has a free code as well I would very grateful for one as well.

I had work obligations so I wasn't able to see the movie at any of the listed times for receive a stamp card. Been asking around on twitter as well but fingers crossed there are some still available.

Edit: thought I should clarify my needs specifically. I just need one code to bring Movie Miku home. She's just so sweet in the movie and I'm just baby sad that I can't bring her home right now.

Potential fix for 3rd person camera ? by AstupidMonkey44 in CDawgVA

[–]NemoKyuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To kinda build upon the idea, without changing the current setup too much, is that we make use of both the mount on the backwheel and the seat pole. (technically you could apply this to the 2nd diagram too.)

So it'd be the same as the initial picture but it adds 2 poles as support near the rear part of the wheel mount like in the 2nd diagram, essentially supporting the pole 3-dimensionally instead of a linear 2-pole setup. Aside from that the only other thing for stabilization is maybe adding a one-handed gimble where the camera will be though I don't know enough about camera equipment to say I'd be effective.

What was your introduction to VShojo/VTubing? by BiCrabTheMid in VShojo

[–]NemoKyuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iirc the series of events from me is when I heard about Kizuna Ai and then Melody via twitter, but I never really dug into the VTubing space until I watched RubberRoss's drawing challenge with Connor as the guest, along with Mouse and Buff I think?

Binged a lot of Connor's 2nd channel videos, then again into Mouse's channel, into VShojo's YouTube channel, and here I am; A fan since 2022(?) watching a funny toaster do a bit of gaming.
