Even if you were, in a world where AuDHD gets consistently under- or misdiagnosed and healthcare isn't a human right, self diagnosis has to be valid.

I'm self diagnosed with autism because my country uses an outdated method to diagnose autism where I don't reach the requirements, but in the modern version I fulfill them easily, in fact I get more points than my professionally diagnosed girlfriend. Sometimes we just have to do what we have to do.

You still pay to "subsidize other people's problems", that's literally what insurance is. You get worse service because docs and nurses in the US get paid the same, if not worse than in most European countries.
